Hunted

Chapter 5

Logan's heart pounded in his chest, anger coursing through his veins like a raging wildfire. He had just received distressing news, informing him that his beloved mate, Nina, had been kidnapped. The news sent him spiraling into a frenzy of emotions, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive.
"How did this happen"
Logan asked angrily
"We don't know sir, we are sorry "
One of the guards replied, bowing his head.
"If any,"
He said not able to finish his sentence as his phone started ringing.
He looked at the screen, seeing Nina's name written on it. Logan hurriedly picked up the phone.
"Hello, Nina you got me worried"
Logan said thinking she was saved, shockingly the voice he heard was that of a man.
"If you ever want to see Nina again, come to the abandoned warehouse on the outskirt of the town"
The voice said as the call ended, not allowing Logan to respond.
"Bloody human"
Logan blurted out angrily.

Without a second thought, Logan stormed out of the mansion, his mind consumed by a single purpose: to find Nina and bring her back safely.

He knew he wouldn't rest until he held her in his arms again.
The streets blurred past as he raced toward the location where he was asked to go.
His senses heightened, and his wolf was on high alert, he was ready to tear those humans apart
For hurting Nina.

As he arrived at the abandoned warehouse on
the outskirts of town, a foreboding silence hung in the air. Logan cautiously approached the entrance, his eyes scanning the vicinity for any signs of danger.
The moment he stepped inside he saw Nina in the corner of the room tied to a chair, you could see she was bleeding seeing the dried blood on her head.
She looked so weak and pale as if she was going to pass out.
She looked up and saw Logan," logan please go back, it's a trap u are outnumbered"
Nina said weakly
Logan hurriedly went to where she was locked in chains.
Desiring to free her, but as soon as he touched it, his hand got burnt.
The chain was saturated in wolf vain.

He tried again and again trying to rip it apart, but he kept on hurting himself.
"Logan please save yourself, leave me here,"
She said crying.
"Am not letting you go again"
He said as he kept on trying, but then he felt an invisible force slam into him, throwing him off balance.
Then a wooden arrow was shot at him, but he caught it mid-air and threw it to the ground
Then someone threw a large amount of wolf vein on him, causing his skin to burn which made him weak.
Suddenly, a group of figures emerged from the shadows, surrounding him with malicious intent. They were all werewolf hunters, Their eyes gleamed with fanatical zeal, eager to rid the world of his kind.
But what struck him the hardest was the presence of Sarah, Nina's best friend, standing among them.

"Sarah!" Logan's voice was laced with disbelief. "How could you?"
Logan said moving his glance from Sarah to Nina trying to ask why she will hurt her friend.
"She's the Luna"
Sarah said
"She's one of you now, a werewolf killed my father and you all will pay for that"
"His different"
Nina said barely audible
"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?"
She said screaming as she moved about the room.
"My father did it to protect the pack, you wolf hunters keep attacking us"
Logan said angrily.
Sarah snapped her finger and two men held him down.
"Who's going to save you now"
she said laughing as she walked to him and pierced a digger into his chest slowly.
"Boys finish him"
she said as she took Nina to another room.
Logan, still pinned to the floor, became angry and immediately changed to a full werewolf.
He fought with the werewolf hunters with his claws and teeth tearing through their skin.
They were relentless, attacking him from all sides, their weapon biting into his flesh.
He finally escape from the room and went straight to where Nina was taken to.
As he entered he saw Sarah holding a knife over Nina's neck,
"Move an inch and she's gone"
Sarah said
Logan scared of losing Nina just stood still,
Not realizing a werewolf hunter was walking right behind him and he stabbed him with a wooden stick right through his chest.
Immediately he fell to the ground.
He could see Nina screaming, and a sudden surge of power swept through the room and he went unconscious.
