Rhiannon and Essence have been best friends since middle school when Essence moved from Russia to Denver, Colorado. They're now seniors in high school who do everything together. But what happens when the lines of friendship and love start to blur...
I'm gonna split this chapter up into two parts so that way it's not a super long chapter and I also don't know when I'll update again once I put both of those parts not that anyone is really reading my story. I feel really depressed and think I need time to myself before I start writing again. Also I just put the song bc I think it's a good song.
Rhiannon's pov I've been staying at Essence's house for a couple weeks and it feels like complete bliss. We haven't really done anything sexual, just sweet things like cuddling and sneaking in kisses here and there. Don't get me wrong, we had a lot of fun the first time but I don't want her to feel like I'm using her. I care about her a lot and that's all Derrick ever seemed to want from her. She feels guilty when we don't do anything because Derrick used to play fucked up mind games with her just so she'd say yes.
I try to reassure her that everything's okay and we don't have to do anything, her presence is enough to make me feel on cloud nine. She's not just a hookup or a fling. She's so much more to me and I wish she could see herself through my eyes. Her beautiful eyes, her adorable face she makes when she's concentrating on something, the million different laughs she has, everything about her is so perfect. And I know that sounds cliche but I mean have you seen her?? She's a goddess. I would do anything she wanted me to do, be anything she wanted me to be and that scares me a little but I know she'd never try and change me.
We've both been cooped up in the house these last two weeks together and while that's amazing, I'm a nature girl and so is she. We get dressed to go to the park and walk looking for a place to have our picnic. I wear an orange top with hints of yellow and little flowers on it and a brown skirt to match the slight burnt orange color in my top. I stack some necklaces, rings, and bracelets for accessories then pair all of that with slightly chunky brown sandals.

Rhiannon's outfit^
Essence decided to wear a white cropped, sweetheart line top with blue jeans and put her hair up in a clip. She put settle makeup on with little hoop earrings and a small gold necklace. For shoes, she put on chunky wedged flip flops.

Essences outfit^ We walk downstairs and look for her mom. We look around the house for a little before finding her in the living room. She's cuddled up on the couch with her girlfriend Susan watching a movie. "Oh hey guys I didn't know you were in town Susan!" I say surprised. "Yeah she came down to surprise me for my birthday! Isn't that so sweet??" Anastasia says happily with a cheesy grin on her face admiring Susan's face. "Oh it was nothing I missed you and I can't miss my future wife's birthday now can I honey?" She says proudly. "Aweee you guys are so cute" Essence says sweetly. Susan and Anastasia both laugh quietly and look at each other. "What's up girls? What'd you come in here for anyways?" She says with a knowing look. "Wellll we were hoping to go on a walk, me and Rhi wanna have a picnic together since we haven't gone on a walk in foreverrr" Essence pleads. Quite adorably might I add.
"Oh of course honey! Just make sure you drink plenty of water so you don't get dehydrated walking and take your phones with you!" Anastasia replies quickly. "Okayyy bye love you!" We both say at the same time and start laughing. We pack up our picnic basket with food, drinks, plates, glasses, napkins, and silverware in the car and drive to the park. We get to the park and find a place to park then get out and start walking to find a place to set everything at. We thankfully find a place fairly quickly and there's a slight breeze. "Okay let's set everything up right here Ess" "Okay" she replies calmly. We set a few blankets down to sit on and then set our food and everything else up.
