The bright sunlight filled my room making my eyes squeeze together before I opened them. ''Good morning sunshine!'' says my dad as he pulls open my curtains letting the morning summer sun drown my bedroom. ''ugh'' I groan I roll over to see my alarm clock it read '9:47 am' I turned to my dad ''why did you wake me up, its summer?'' I say rubbing my eyes. ''Your not wasting your whole day in bed, there is also a good surf down at the beach if you wanna go check it out?'' says dad questionably. With that I rolled out of bed and slowly stood up walking out my room, I walked into the bathroom splashing cold water on my face, waking myself up, before pulling my long light-ish brunette hair which has gone a bit blondish from the sun, into a high messy ponytail. I walked into the kitchen grabbing out my favourite oatmeal, pouring it into a bowl adding some milk, then chopping up yummy summer fruits and placing them on top. I placed my empty bowl in the sink, ''where is Mum and David?'' I ask dad ''Mum has gone food shopping, and Davids at his mates place'' I nod ''alright kiddo go get your togs on were going to the beach!'' I smile ''alright I'll be quick'' I say running down the hall, ''better be don't want your mum to see us go!'' my dad yells down the hall.
We walk down the road with our boards under our arms the hot sun hitting us, the tar is really hot on my feet so I run to the grass, my feet instantly cooling down, Dad just laughs. We continue to walk now except i'm on the grass and dad on the sidewalk, we got beeped at by a car so were not on the road anymore . We finally reach the beach faint squeals and laughs full the air with the sound of the beautiful waves crashing against the shore. ''Wow! it really is good surf today!'' I say smiling at dad we place our bags under the tree and start to head to shore, I accidentally bumped into someone "sorry!'' I say she looks up at me ''better be!'' she says sarcastically before we erupt in laughter ''Hey Michael!'' she says ''Hey Sue!'' says my dad ''I will be in the water'' says dad. Sue is my best friend, we have been for a very long time since we were like 5, she's gorgeous, long blonde hair, bright blue eyes and an amazing smile! ''wanna come for a surf?'' I ask ''sure let me get my board!'' we head off into the water with a very amazing day ahead of us.
