Emu who stood in the spotlight with her lover Tsukasa, oh how Nene wish she could take his place beside her.
This story happens at the same time as "Like a Flower in Fall, You Wilted." my Ruikasa angst story.
Emu sighed as she waited in class for Tsukasa but he never seem to come, he was probably caught up with his fans. She tapped her foot and smiled as she listened to a song Tsukasa had recommended to her. The beat was quite nice, she was fond of Miku's music so listening to another Vocaloid besides her was new. After a while, she decided to go find the boy herself. She hummed as she skipped through the hallways, not looking where she was going she slammed straight into someone, causing them to fall. "Eek! I'm so sorry-" Emu gasped as she looked down at the person she knocked over, the girl sitting on the ground had such silky-looking hair. Her eyes sparkled as she immediately decided this person was now going to be her friend! "Hello! My names Emu, I like your hair! The green is nice, do you listen to Miku? I love Miku! I'm getting into Kaito's music and I think I'm really starting to like his music!" Emu started to ramble on but she stopped when the girl started to walk away from her.
"Hey hey wait!" She rushed up to the other and smiled. "What's your name? Do you wanna be friends, sorry for knocking you over by the way!" A few moments of silence passed and Emu was starting to feel nervous, everyone had always reacted positively to her trying to be friends with them. "Nene." She was startled by the sudden voice but smiled widely after a second. "Hi, Nene! I like your name! My name is Emu but I already told you that I just wanted to remind you!" Emu tried to make small talk but the bell rang and Nene walked away. "Aw she left.. and I wasted all my time to find Kasa.." She frowned but smiled once more happy to meet a potential new friend.
Emu called Tsukasa and texted him a bunch but nothing. She couldn't look for him because she had already been late to class and the teacher refused to let her go to the bathroom. The bell rang and she rushed out of the classroom, she noticed that Tsukasa had finally read her messages. He didn't answer but at least she knew he was alive. I'll just wait for him to message back. A flash of green hair in the hallway caught her off guard, she immediately knew who it was and tried to catch up with her. When Nene noticed she was trying to catch up with her she quickly turned the corner to escape her. Emu pouted but continued to force her way through the crowd and attempted to reach Nene. She grabbed onto the other shirt and stopped her from getting away. "I caught you, Nene-chan!" Emu grinned as Nene just looked back at her with a slightly concerned look. "You're in my next class so let's walk there together!" Nene just stared at her before trying to pull her shirt out of the shorter girl's grasp. "Hey let go.." She pulled a bit harder causing Emu to stumble forwards and almost fall on her face. Nene grabbed her by the waist and stopped her from falling. "Ah- thanks Nene!" Emu giggled when she was back upright on her feet. Nene sighed and let go of Emu "Sorry about that," she mumbled softly but Emu was standing close enough to hear it. "It's okay! Let's go to class now, what do you say?" A small smile formed on Nene's face and she nodded. "Sounds good." Emu skipped through the halls toward class while Nene followed behind her smiling softly.
