- Bailey's POV -
Mrs Cooper decided to make us do this improv 'round a campfire' sort of thing in music today. But this one girl caught my eye. I'm pretty sure her name is Kendall, she has shiny, straight dark brown hair, which falls just below her shoulders, gorgeous brown eyes that you could stare into all day, everything about her was pure perfection, I had to talk to her.
I was sat in maths when the bell went for lunch, instead of going to the field where I met Joe and George to play football, I went straight into the hall, I had to find her.
There she was, I could notice that smile from a mile away. I walked up to her table where she sat with a few other girls and sat on a seat that was next to her.
"Hey, you're Kendall, right?" I said to her.
"Ye..urm...yeah" she said.
I wasn't sure if she was just nervous talking to me or whether she didn't fancy a chat at all. I looked up at her friends, they were beaming, they looked at Kendall as if she had just won a gold medal in the Olympics.
"In music earlier, when you sang, your voice was beautiful, I can't believe I've never heard it before, you should show a voice like that off!" I said to her, trying to break the silence.
"Urm.. Wow" she said. As I was just about to say something else, she said,
"Sorry, I mean I'm just a bit shocked that's all, I usually get shy singing in front of people, I mean your voice is better than mine, you'll definitely get somewhere very far one day, and you can play the guitar so well, and I can't believe you noticed my singing and urm I'm sorry, I've said too much.."
"Don't be silly! You have a truly beautiful voice, maybe we could get somewhere very far one day together..." I instantly blushed. What did I just say? Why did I say it? She's going to think I'm such an idiot now.
"I would really like that." Kendall said smiling.
We arranged to go for dinner tonight, it was Friday, I was picking her up from her house at six and then taking her to nandos, cliche I know but it's my favourite.
