"Are you alright?" Leah asked me, concern written all over her face

"No, I...." I mumbled as I tried to make sense of what was happening in my life if you could even call it life now. I knew from my last memory that it was impossible to make it out alive from that fall, but I had always thought that death will be the end of life. This.. they spoke of a mission, a continuous life?

"You'll get used to it; you know?" Lianne said,

"No, I don't feel like it will right now," I answered, I knew for a fact I had no other choice but to accept this, it's not like I can rekill myself.

"It'll feel like that eventually, you'll get used to it too." Leah added,

I nodded and kept quiet about why I was really feeling like shit. I wanted to die but I wasn't expecting to be here and be dead but still alive?

"Let's go, for now, you'll need supplies."

"Where are we getting those?"

"We have to go to the village, there is a place for newbies there which would help in your mission here."

While making their way to the Village, she decided to ask questions to pass the time.

"Tell me about the missions here in Injusto." I asked, ducking below the low branch as I walk past.

"We all have the same mission, to get to the after life," Leah trailed off, swerving through trees.

"To get there is the biggest hurdle, you need a key. The key is to garner at least 3 blessings from the Ethereals." she continued to answer her.

"Ethereals? What are those?" I asked cluelessly.

"What dimension did you come from?" Lianne piped in, looking at me curiously.

"Earth?" my answer came off as a question as I looked at them confusedly.

"I mean like, were you human in your past life or a supernatural?" she cleared.

"Human? Do supernaturals exist?" I probably looked flabbergasted as I asked in disbelief.

"Oh dear, you're in for a ride," Leah said.

I can already feel that this life wouldn't be as mundane as my previous life would be. I mean common, I lived for twenty-nine years and I never encountered any supernatural in my lifetime on Earth. I only ever read them in books. I guess that's what being a human was for.

"How about you guys? Were you not humans?" I asked them,

"We were both werewolves." They answered in unison.

"When we died in a massacre and woke up in this place, we were as confused as you are. We knew nothing about this world. We kept thinking that death is going to be an emptiness of some sort. Like you would just vanish from the face of the world." Leah started,

"That was not the case though. We walked and walked until we reached the village. That's where everything was explained to us. You were quite lucky to meet us though." Lianne continued,

"We knew Gods and Goddesses existed, that's our origin as werewolves. This place is somehow different though. They are called Ethereals here, there's a lot of them too." Leah took over again.

"Three blessings might sound easy, but it's not."

"Meeting the Ethereals is really difficult. They don't prefer to show themselves. It took us over a year to get one."

"Can't we find the Ethereals ourselves?" I asked,

"We shouldn't. Even if our mission is to gain their blessing, we should never hunt for it, which makes it worse."
