Chapter 1

The sound of my alarm clock blaring off woke me up. Soon enough I was on my feet walking towards my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a quick shower while singing my lungs to idfc (A/N: I absolutely love this song) by blackbear.

"Cause I have hella feelings for you

I chose a black knee ripped skinny jeans with a black and white striped t-shirt to go with. Picking up my white infinity scarf to go with my outfit and also a pair of my over-worn black combat boots. Running down stair, I bid a goodbye to my dad who's getting ready for his work. I sped off to school with my brother's Audi R8.

Finally school was over, and I hurriedly went to my dad's office in the midtown of Manhattan. Maybe you guys are wondering why my dad's office are located there it's because he owns a multi-billionaire corporation. Not to brag or anything but after that thing happened my dad was determined to work hard and earned money to make me and my brother happy.

Love is where you find happiness but it's also lethal, it could just kill you in a blink of an eye. You'll never know, always expect the unexpected from love.

I've learned to never believe in love because from what I've seen, love is just another dangerous game we're going to play in our lives. So I decided to stay out of it, preventing hurtful things to happen to me. I've experienced enough pernicious things and to know that if we're not strong we won't stand on this harsh world.

Arriving at the M building, I exited the car and gave the keys to Mr. Rorrington, my dad's chauffeur. Heading towards the elevator I saw a commotion down on the reception desk. There's a guy who's arguing with the receptionist, as I approach them, I felt like I ever saw the guy. After thinking multiple times with the end of my mind, my eyes went wild with what I've realized.

He looked at me and broke me out of my shocked daze "Alex..!?!" After hearing those words fell from his mouth I became paralyzed and ran as fast as I could to the elevator and pressed the button for level 45.

Ding! Rushing out of the elevator I rushed passed through my dad's assistant and just get in the office without further wait. I saw my dad was asleep on his desk and slowly I creeped to him. I decided to wake him by scaring him.

"BOO!" I shouted, while restraining myself from laughing my ass off.

"Bloody murder!" screamed my dad, his face scared shitless.

"OMG! You should've seen your face dad, priceless!" I laughed, pointing my finger at his face.

Dad was pretty grumpy after I calmed down from my laughing which last for forever.

I decided to tell dad about the that guy situation and when I looked at him, his face shows that he's furious. I don't even know what happened, in just a second my dad went out of his office leaving me behind. When I stood up and deciding to whether follow him or stay here, I heard his phone went off.

I saw a message that said "Mission Accomplished boss, all done. S"

That made me completely bewildered and I just can't seem to grasp what that meant.

I can't seem to forget what I saw last Friday. The message has left an empty space on my mind that made me went crazy about.

Who the fuck is S?

What mission was he talking about?

And lastly, what did my dad hid from me?

I felt really insecure and suspicious about it. I tend to find out about who is S and what my dad have done. Let the game begins...

My best friend, Snyder had texted me to meet up at our favorite place, Starbucks.

"Meet me at our place ASAP!!!"

I drove my Audi, well my brother's in such a fast speed. When I got there, I immidiately got out of my car and pushed through the door and look for Snyder. I soon was greeted with the smell of the delicious aroma of coffee. Looking through the crowd of people I spotted my best friend sitting in the corner. He seemed out of place with his bad boy attire with the business man and woman who wore suits and formal clothes.
I walked towards him and soon sat on the wooden chair in front of him. Snyder didn't realize I was sitting across him until he jumped out of his seat.

"Oh, fuck you Lex, thank you for making me nearly have a heart attack!" He glared at me, while sipping on his black coffee.

"What a nice greeting my friend!" I shot him a cheeky smile, climbing out of my seat to order myself a drink.

The line was really long, I sighed as it doesn't move since I've been here. After a while the line began to move and it's time for me to order. I looked up, my eyes greeted with a beautiful sight. The barista was a cute guy with black big glasses on his eyes. My eyes met his and he gave me a smile and asked cheerfully "What may this pretty lady wants to order?"

HE HAS A BRITISH ACCENT OH GOD

"U-u-um, can I have a tall iced skinny latte?" I looked anywhere but his eyes.

He chuckled "Sure, anything more miss...?"

"No and my name's Alex." I answered flustered by his accent.

"Okay miss. Alex you can wait for your drink in the next counter and your order will be $1.95." he smiled, waiting for me to hand in the money.

I gave two one-dollar bills and told him to keep the change. As I walked towards the next counter I heard my name being called and hurriedly I took my drink back to the my seat. When I soon placed myself on the seat Snyder said "Sorry Lexie I gotta go, have some unfinished business with someone. I'll text you later!" He sent me an apologetic smile as I watched him fade into the crowd of people.

I felt myself frown at his sudden emergency to finish that unfinished he had. I wonder what the business is, well there was a famous saying "Curiosity killed the cat"

Well I practically being the nosy person I've always been, I tried finding out what's happening. And my curiosity just got in the way until I found myself into some arduous circumstances. I got myself in a really bad situation where I can't back away.

I made the mistake to actually agree with the deal going on. That's how this all started.
