Alana looks at her phone. "She's probably gonna bitch at me. Again." She answers and puts her phone to her ear. "What Mother?"
"Hey, Lana, how are you? I heard what happened. Liam told me."
Alana laughs humorlessly. "That happened two- almost three months ago and you decide to ask me how I am now? Really?"
"I-I'm sorry I got caught up with work. I-"
Alana cuts her off, "No, you got caught up in talking to your son who you treat like your only child." She gets up and starts pacing. "You ask him immediately how he's doing and if he's okay but wait almost three months to ask me? Really? I knew you didn't care but you really showed with that one."
Her mother, Elizabeth, sighs. "Now you're just being dramatic. And you know I don't care about one of you more than the other."
"Oh my god, yes, you do! The fact that you choose today of all fucking days to ask me about what happened shows just that, Mom. Just because you can't love because of who you chose to have me with does not fucking mean that you have to show it. And I'm fine, thanks for fucking asking." Alana hangs up the phone with tears threatening to fall but she doesn't let them.
Chad waits before getting up and walking over to Alana, hugging her from behind and placing his chin on her shoulder. "Wanna talk about it?"
Alana turns around and looks up at Chad. "She's just so unbelievable. She just continues to gaslight and manipulate me, and she knows she's doing it. Yet she still continues to do it and I'm sick and tired of it." A lone tear falls down her cheek, making her immediately wipe it away. "Oh, my fucking god. Stop crying, she's not worth it."
Chad pulls into another hug. "Lana, it's okay to cry even if she doesn't deserve it. You can't bottle up your feelings."
Alana nods. "I know, but it's hard because opening up and explaining my feelings is so new to me."
Chad kisses her forehead. "I know and I'll listen to you whenever you need me to, okay?"
Alana smiles. "Thank you." She leans up and kisses him softly and wraps her arms around his neck.
Chad kisses her back and grips her waist, pulling her closer. He grabs her thighs, making Alana jump and wrap her legs around his waist, and makes his way to her bed, laying her down and climbing on top of her. He pulls away to ask, "Is this ok-"
Alana cuts him off with a quick yet passionate kiss before saying, "More than okay." She smiles before placing her hands on his face and pulling him into another kiss.
Chad smiles into the kiss, but before he can go any further, Arianna walks in without knocking, making the couple jump apart from one another and look at her.
Alana sits up quickly. "What th-"
Chad gives her a look, making her cut her sentence short, and looks at Arianna. "What's you need, Ari?"
Arianna looks at Chad. "Umm, I know presents aren't for another hour, but Sam wanted to move them up because everyone's getting excited and impatient, so. Whenever you're ready, you need to come out here." She smiles at Chad then looks at Alana with a look that Alana can't place before leaving the room and closing the door.
Chad looks at Alana to see her with her head down. "Lana?"
Alana sighs and looks at him. "I know it's been two months but I'm still mad at her for ratting me out and keeping the same secret I was." He goes to speak but she stops him, "I know, okay? I'm trying to forgive her and Liam both. And I am getting there with her but with Liam, it's harder. He blew up at me for not telling him when he was doing the same thing I was and not to mention in pub-"
