"I let you two geniuses fly a mission and you disobey direct orders"

Jake is in the process of scolding his two sons for going on the ground and almost getting their older sister killed. Zuleika was actually supposed to be on the ground team and the boys were not.

"Kiri can you go help your grandmother with the wounded" Kiri looks at her sibling and then back at her father

"My siblings are wounded." She says observing Zuleika and Neteyam.

Zuleika had large scrapes on her arms, back, and legs but it was nothing she couldn't tend to. While neteyam had scrapes om
his arms and chest, along with gashes in his legs.

Tuk comes up behind her oldest sister and hugs her leg.

"Babygirl please. Tuk go with her!" Kiri rolls her eyes and walks to her grandmother, tuk follows but not before bending down giving Zuleika a kiss on the knee.

After the two girls leave Zuleika is the first sibling to speak.

"Sir i take full responsibility"

"Yeah you do, you're the oldest you gotta act like it. How do you expect to lead the clan when you can't even keep your siblings out of trouble" Jake responds with his ears pinned down in frustration.

Zuleika hates when he uses the "how do you expect to lead" line. It makes her feel like a failure. He is fully aware how hard she works to live up to his expectations. And how hard she tries to keep her siblings safe.

She was about to argue with her father until Neytiri intervened.

"Ma Jake, your children are actually bleeding."

Neytiri knows that if she let her daughter respond, things would only go downhill.

"Neteyam, Zuleika go get patched up"

Neteyam walked away with his mother. But Zuleika stayed with lo'ak, grabbing his hand to bring him some sort of comfort

Jake looked at his daughter with an unamused expression before turning his attention to Lo'ak

"You do understand that you almost got your siblings killed."

"Yes sir" Lo'ak drops his head in shame.

He didn't mean for anything bad to happen. He just wanted to be on the ground and help out, like his sister.

"You're grounded no flying for a month and get that crap off your face."

"He was just trying to help." Zuleika snapped

She knows that Lo'ak is in the wrong. Anybody looking at the situation would agree that Lo'ak was wrong but she still felt the need to defend him.

Jake on the other hand was starting to get fed up with his daughter's attitude. "Watch your mouth Zuleika" he warned

"Watch yours when speaking to my brother Jake."

She grabbed her brothers hand and walked away. Leaving her father angry.

Why can't his daughter just listen?
