Metal was walking through an extremely crowded hallway, somewhere he very much preferred not to be in, considering he didn't know anyone here.

"I-"

"Can y-"

"Excuse m-"

Metal slumps with an annoyed look. Did they even know he was here? He looked to the ceiling, before activating his jet engine and shooting above the crowd, and flying past them, looking at them while in a blur to try and spot Shadow.

This search went on for a few seconds, before he spotted the exit at the very end of the long hall, which was confusingly not crowded at all, only having 2 mobians there. One of them was a dirt brown goat, and the other was a honey-yellow cat.

Metal flew down and landed on the ground in front of the two, and it startled them out of their previous conversation. "Eep!" The goat said, straightening her posture.

"Have you seen Shadow?"

"No! No, sir. We haven't seen anyone like that." The cat replied, waving his hands a bit. The robot nodded in response for a moment, before going through the exit door.

"Why would you answer it?"

The blue robot stopped in his tracks.

What. Did they. Just say?

"What? We didn't see anyone like that... and besides, you saw those claws! It would probably have shredded us if we didn't speak!!"

...

Is that all they thought about him?

"I know, I know... but he's still an Eggman robot. He could just be spying, and trying to kidnap Shadow!"

"You're right, maybe we should tell-"

"-me? Tch...typical."

Everyone flinched at that, and all turned to see...

"Shadow! Are you doing alright?" Metal said in surprise, walking to him and out of the exit. "I'm doing fine, Metal, I just needed a moment to myself," He responded with a small smile, before glaring at the two mobians at the exit, who were looking away nervously. Shadow stepped to Metal's side, before pointing at them.

" You two, however, should be mindful of the effort Metal puts in to make up for his past actions. He does not follow Eggman anymore, nor will he be labeled by those who don't give him the chance he rightfully deserves." Shadow snapped, before grabbing Metal's hand and walking back into the crowd with him.

The blue robot was surprised as before, continuing to walk with Shadow, before speaking up again.

"...Miss Rose is holding a meeting in the main room."

Shadow gave another quick nod, as they continued to walk...

Next scene, Main Room

The duo arrived at the main room, seeing the Chaotix, Tails and Amy talking with Silver, who seemed to be fine now, while Rouge and Omega were displayed on a top on the large monitor at the wall facing the front door.

"Silver! Greetings!" Metal said, waving at the porcupine-like hedgehog, and he ran up to them, hugging them both. Shadow looked to the wall, annoyed at the random physical contact, while Metal welcomed it.

"You're as... touching as I remember." Shadow said, as Silver pulled away from the group hug but was really a one man hug . "You too, grumpy pants." Silver replied, giving Shadow a wink and smile that reminded him too much of his blue rival. He had no idea if he did that just to peeve him, but it did.
