chapter 1

I didn't know where I was, only that I should be running. Should be, but I wasn't.

Screams filled the air around me everywhere. It was all I could hear. I assumed the things causing it was the giant creatures, (maybe a new form of Nomus?) everywhere, destroying this village I was in, and (I gag) eating people. Remains of body parts were strewn all across the cobblestone streets, and I was doing my best to not throw up and add to the mess.

"Deku?" I hear a familiar voice call my name. I turn and look, and Kacchan comes into view, wearing his usual scowl. It almost felt better to see him. Almost. "What are you doing here?" he accuses, pointing a finger at me. I wince like the finger was a slap to the face. Calm down Izuku. It was just a finger.

"I-I'm not sure. I just got here." I stutter, no recollection of how I got here.

"Well, where the hell are we!?!"

"We certainly aren't in Musutafu anymore."

"No shit!" he saunters forward, then breaks into a run towards one of the monsters.

"Kacchan what are you doing?!?"

"Im going to blast these things apart. Don't try to stop me!" he says. You can practically hear the sneer in his voice.

"Kacchan stop!" I yell, running after him.

"Stay out of my way!" He orders. However, I don't stay out of his way. Instead, I follow him when he propels himself in the air with his quirk, landing on a rooftop. using the quirk I inherited from retired No. 1 Hero, almight, to jump extremely high onto the roof.

Bakugo is only a few feet away from the being, who has a woman tight in its grasp. It looks male but has no genitals, and is all skin and bone, except for its stomach. I note that it's probably about 10 meters tall.

Kacchan raises a fist and sets off an explosion right on the things shoulder. The hand holding the girl opens and she starts to fall towards the ground. I run down the roof and push off it, propelling myself towards her. She is tight in my arms as we hit the ground, and all the air is knocked out of me. Luckily, the girl I am holding seems unarmed. Just a little shaken.

I cough and sit up when she gets off me and starts running.

"JUST DIE ALREADY!" I hear Kacchan yell. He sets off multiple more explosions all over the thing, but everywhere that it gets singed, revives itself.

I run full speed at the thing, building up the quirk energy in my legs. Once I get close enough I yell at Kacchan to move and then crash into the beast's legs. Its legs fall out from under it, and I really hope that Kacchan listened to me and moved. I roll out of the way as the thing crashes to the ground with an earth-quaking thud.

I get to my feet as fast as I can, since it was already trying to get back up. Im ready to attack again, when somebody swings off a building and lands on its back.

With one quick swish, the person uses two blades to slice a solid chunk out of the thing's neck. shes female, I notice, when I look at her face. She has sharp features and upturned eyes that are staring at us as she puts the blades away. The thing falls and a loud hissing noise escapes from it. The girl hops off his back and walks over to me.

"Who are you?" she asks me, her scowl more intimidating than Kacchans.

"Hey! You! Extra!" speak of the devil. The girl whirls around to face him, shooting a withering stare. "I had him handled!"

"No, you didn't. You were aiming at all its weak spots," she says, her voice demanding respect.

"I was weakening it. You came in right as I was about to kill it." Bakugo retorts.
