A small boy walked in the ran as blood laid dry on his clothes, staining his shirt, leaving him in tears. His eyes were closed as his hair fell apon.

He opened his eyes and looked back at the burning house as it fallen before him. The titan holding the his mother severed legs in one hand and his older brothers head in the next. His dad blood smeared on his shirt and between the monsters teeth.

He turned his head and closed his eyes, walking in a mindless direction as he felt the love his family had given him fade away. The love he felt for years were gone in an instant when Shiganshina and Maria fell that evening.

His family did leave Marley to be attacked like this, his family wanted to get away in hopes of finding something, some kind of cure to get the titan ability's out of his body. They didn't want to die like this. They didn't want to live in a cage anymore.

He placed his hand on wall rose and walked till he found himself as the closing gate. He ran the catch the opening before it closed, laying his eyes on the person he thought was still Marley. He ran to his friends crying, hugging her with such sorrow.

Annie hugged back, glad to see her best friend but in sorrow to see him crying so hard. They had never seen him cry as hard as this, they considered him a crybaby but they loved him.

She held back the urge to ask him what had happened. She wouldn't admit it to other, but she was scared the know what happened. She was worried for y/n when she found out his family fled the city to find a cure for him. He'd never wanted to be a soldier.

His tears wet her shirt and they went to the refuge camp. They sat in silence as y/n had stopped crying and his eyes had gone dull.

After a moment of silence, Reiner had decided to break it. "Y/n..... what happened in Maria...?" He asked with sympathy lacing his voice.

"The walls fell...... their gone..." Y/n voice shook as he looked up at his best friends. Their eyes went wide as tears went down their faces, releasing what they did to him. They got down on their knees trying to apologize for their sins.

"It was us, we breached the walls." Bertolt said as sweat and tears poured down his cheek.

"We didn't know you'd be in paradise." Reiner said looking back up at y/n's dull eyes.

"It's okay..." he smiled. "I know you didn't know we was here.... It was a mistake." He smile was dull, it was as if he didn't have any life inside of him anymore. And to their surprise y/n's known smile was gone, his scared personality had faded away, and his forever happiness was gone. It was like he was no longer their and Reiner and Bertolt felt to blame for taking their friends smile away.

Annie did not care that we was now different, she just cared that he was their and y/n was always by her side.

As the years passed y/n had grown a significant amount. He stood 6'8, 203 cm, tall without a hair cut, his hair grew out and down his back. His dull eyes never gained a spark and his lips never grew a smile.

Annie, Bertolt. Y/n and Reiner had joined the trainee camp together and rode off only to get screamed at by an old bald man.

He went around screaming at kids that looked like they haven't been threw shit, still he got to y/n.

"You look like you've been threw hell and back, kid." His voice calmed as he stared up at the tall boy standing in front of him. "How tall are you kid?"

"6'8, sir." Y/n refused to yell.

"When it happen, kid?" Keith asked making y/n looked down at him with dull, tired eyes.

"Three years ago, durning the Maria disaster, sir." Y/n said before looking back straight. Keith had just walked away and y/n stood unfazed. After the screaming Annie talked to y/n with Reiner and Bertolt in an isolated area to no one could hear them talk.

"Y/n hasn't turned yet." Annie said as y/n dozed off into space.

"Ya know, I heard that the frozen war titan was able to change it size on command." Reiner said as he waved his hand in front of y/n's face. "And it had the ability to to control ice and snow."

"Yeah, and it can be hot out and it still come out of nowhere. I saw one of the captains that had the ability and his stamina was crazy." Bertolt said pushing Reiners hand outta y/n face. "I heard the ice is harder than the crystal Annie can make."

"We'll it's a good thing he doesn't know how to turn, or we'd be in some big shit." Reiner said which out y/n's attention.

"Why?" Y/n asked looking down at Reiner.

"You would expose us." Y/n face showed confusion. "You don't really know how to keep a secret."

"You really can't." Annie said as she sighed. "Now just look at him, he looks so tired."

"He always looks like that." Reiner said which got him knocked in the head.

"Cus of us." Bertolt said hitting Reiner again with tear in the corner of his eyes.

"Just take him to bed and tell him to sleep." Annie said before walking off with y/n trying to follow.

"Man, you can't sleep in the girls cabin." Reiner said grabbing his shirt and pulling him to the boys cabin. "Now go to sleep."

"Where?" Y/n asked pointing at all the open beds.

"Any one of the beds." Reiner said making y/n point at a bed with a person in it. "No... maybe he should go sleep with Annie."
