::Levi pov::

I was going to help carry y/n to the infirmary but Reiner and Bertolt stepped in and told me I couldn't because of my ankle.

Later that night during dinner, y/n was still in the infirmary and no one was allowed in. A cadet walked in and whispered in hanjis ear, she stood up and walked over to me and Erwin. "Y/n's condition has progressively improved. They've approved visitation to anyone." She whispered in my ear.

"I will like to visit him now." Erwin said standing up.

"He's sleeping, at the moment." Hanji said making Erwin sit back down. "He's been put under anesthesia, he's in a lot of pain. He can barely move. He took a lot of damage just to save us a few more minutes to set up." She explained looking at me. "His body isn't healing properly because his body went into shock, he's stressing too much. We need to make him feel comfortable and safe when he wakes up."

"How the hell are we supposed to make him feel comfortable?" I asked as I rolled my eyes.

"Bring him his food, sit and talk with him, we'll probably have to get one of his friends to stay with him." She said making me close my eyes in frustration.

"Lights out!!" A cadet yelled as everyone stood up and walked out. I walked to the infirmary where y:n was being held in. I saw him in the first bed I saw and brought up a seat beside him.

I watched as his chest raised than fallen with his breath. His shirt was off and new bandages covered him wounds. His breathing hatched when my chair creaked. His checks were a light red as he sweated like a dog. Hanji mentioned he had a fever when we got back.

I watched as his mouth opened slightly before he tried to move to his side. He grunted in pain as I tried to help him lay on his back. His breathing fastened as I grabbed his hand.

I had never thought thought id be sitting next to a brat like this, but I can't help myself to just walk away.

"He'll be very thankful to know you stayed next to him." A voice said. I looked up to see Hanji walking in.

"Yeah we'll, the idiot saved my squad a few more minutes to stay alive." I said looking back at him.

"Not exactly, Armin told us that y/n hesitated to fight the female in the valley but he was in a hurry to get into the forest." She explained as she pulled up a chair in the other side of the bed. "Y/n watched most of the left wing get killed by her. Once y/n woke up in the trees, he said he needed to stop her from killing anyone else."

"We'll the bastard only got his beaten." I said.

"Now, the day after tomorrow we are orders to bring in Eren to the MPs. Y/n is not registered at a titan shifter severely because there was only one witness to y/n turning and even than when they found him he was already out of him form but he was begging for forgiveness. The garrison regiment didn't even know if he was an actual titan, they gambled on what they think they saw." Hanji explained and she's talking a little to much.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked raising a brow.

"It means, even if we can't find a full proof plan to keep Eren. Y/n won't be taken cause they have no record of him at all. None of his personal information, not even his being born is on paper." Hanji said making her own eyes go wide. "That's it, sorry Levi I have to leave!" She yelled before running out. I looked back at y/n and he had a small smile on his face.

"What the hell is worth smiling about?" I mumbled to myself.

"I didn't think you'd be here-" y/n said but stopped to cough.

"Tch, don't ramble that restarted mouth of yours." I said as he squeezed the blanket.

"I'll be fine....do you have any food?" He asked closing his eyes once again.

"I don't, but I can bring you some." I stood up but he didn't respond as I left for the mess hall. I bragged a bowl of soup and walked back. Y/n was sitting up, leaning against the wall. "What happened to you always having that emotionless face?" I asked making him confused.

"I don't know..." he answered looking away.

"The nurses made this for you." I said feeding his a spoon full. Once the bowl was empty he stared at me with nothing him his eyes. "One minute you look at me with every emotion anyone could feel and the next your looking at me with those emotionless eyes again." I scuffed putting the bowl on down and stood up to walk out. Y/n had turned and placed his foot on the ground, grabbing my hand. I was able to see how bad his wounds really were. Not only did he loose his arm but he lost his leg as well. He removed his hand from mine snd grabbed my shoulder, pulling me down into a kiss.

"Just stay with me a little longer." He said pulling away.
