Chris Pov:

Sitting down in my Physics class, I got bored. The professor wasn't paying attention to the class, so I pull out my phone.

I'm scrolling through Instagram before I see her post. Gabriella's post. Gabriella is a blonde, blue eyed, smart girl with a cute smile.

In the photo, her smile looked even better than usual...wait. What?

I put my phone down and cover my lower face with my hand as I feel my cheeks hush a pink hue. Was I..developing feelings? No, she's a pretty girl. It's obviously absurd to catch feelings for a girl I barely know.

I take deep breaths before I pick my phone back up and like her post, smiling as I do so. I view her insta profile and scroll through her posts, noticing she's very popular and hangs out with her friends a lot.

Good for her. I think to myself as I smile. I click out of her profile before going to my messages and onto her number, contemplating on whether or not I should text her.

I type the words..."Hey Gabriella. Please tell me your class isn't as boring as mine is right now?" My thumb hovers over the send button before I press it.

I wait a few seconds, tapping on my knee in anticipation before I sit back up as soon as I see the 3 bubbles, indicating she's typing.

"Hi Chris. It's alright..but the art project we're doing is too easy. 😑" Her message states.

I chuckle silently at her message before typing again. "That's probably because you're just good at art. 😂" I send the message and smile a bit wider when she keeps texting back.

Her message reads: "Trust me- there are way better artists than me. 😭" I squint my eyes and smirk, knowing I've seen a peice of her artwork being hung up on the wall before.

"Whattt?? Your artwork is amazing." I type, knowing I found her art beautiful when I first spotted it. I send it and notice it takes her a bit longer to type this time than the others.

"Aw, thanks Chris! Just so you know, I may not answer...the Art Professor is forcing us to paint 😒 and I don't want to text with my hands dirty. Sorryy!!" She texts as I chuckle at the emoji she added.

I smile slightly, a bit sad she isn't able to text now, but I understand. I quickly reply, hoping she will see my message before she starts to paint. "Eh, it's okay. Don't stress about it. Hope you have fun painting."

I sigh in reflief as she starts typing again, glad she saw my message. I didn't want to make her think she made me mad because she could no longer talk.

Suddenly, she stops typing which I guess is because she didn't have enough time to answer. I chuckle slightly and put my phone down, calm enough now to finally focus on the lesson, even if it was boring.

After a long 30 more minutes, the bell rings and I smile. I pick up my bag and books as I meet up with Nick in the hallway. I want to look for Matt, but knowing him, he's probably just trying to charm his fan girls.

A cold and quick breeze flushes by my shoulder and I turn around to see Gabriella's gaze meet mine. Our eyes lock for a moment before I smile and wave, continuing to walk with Nick, but I can't hear him, as I seem to get lost in the moment.
