Long distance crush

Pen-pals are great to chat, to find out news and lots of other stuff. When you have a crush on one of them it's a whole new thing.

Well this was me its been going on for 4 years now and we know eachother back to front. Anyway I'm going way to far ahead of myself lets start at the very beginning.

It all started when my friend introduced me to this website were you get pen pals from all over the world. So I set up an account on there and started talking to this girl she was really nice and really sociable.

Then I made another friend who was a boy. He was just as nice and sociable we were talking and talking and talking until I really liked him. Its great but really annoying because he lives far far away from me.

The next day was a Monday and slowly I got out of my bed, because it was school. Once I got to school I told all my friends about the website and the people I met on there.

I didn't want to admit I liked him so I just said "I made friends with a girl and a boy on there". I only told my closest friend because I know she can keep secrets.

A year we have been talking for now and it's been going great. Then he asked me that dreadful question that's horrible for any girl to answer when she's single. "Are you going out with anyone?" And it was really embarrassing to say that I haven't been out with anyone since year 3.

So I said "No I'm not at the moment." And he replied "I am" and then my face was miserable all day.

After lots and lots of talking it had become a mouth later. He told me that he had split up from his girl friend. I felt really sorry for him but I was glad he was single again.

I woke up getting ready for school the next morning. I told another two of my friends that I liked him and I can't stop thinking about him.

2 years later we were still talking and I was couldn't stop thanking the website.

Mom called me down stairs to have tea. I though this was the right time to tell her about the two friends I have made. She said "I know,I know" like I have told her once before but I swear I hadn't.

While sitting at the dinner table my brother started singing the K-I-S-S-I-N-G song. It got really annoying after only a couple of seconds and stood up and stormed up the stairs. That's when my mom called "come back down here immediately!" I took no notice and carried on walking up the stairs.

Once I was in my bedroom I opened up my lap top and started talking to my friends on the website again.

My mom came into my bedroom and told me off for disobeying her and said "next time you do that I'll, ummm." I laughed because I have never seen her stuck for words before.

She sat down on my bed and said "I know what I'm going to say is going to be tough for you to hear but."what." I said, my eyes looking up to her in wonder and me wondering what was going through that brain of hers that I didn't know anything about yet.

"Well me and your and your father are worried about you, not socialising with the other kids at school. So we are wondering if we all would be better starting new, so were going to Scotland."

My jaw dropped and everything went through my mind all at once. "How am I gonna tell em? She's been my best friend since year 4!" How am I going to tell my friends on that website, that I'm going to move to scotland!? She didn't answer, just left the room. I kept on talking, even though she wasn't there."Why Scotland anyway?!" I felt like someone has just hit me round the head with a shovel and I'm finding it hard to get back up again. "I'll show mom, you see. I'll show her."
