Akarshika's thoughts drifted back to her time in Kanyakul, where she learned what it meant to be a good woman and wife. She remembered her strict yet caring teachers who taught her how to behave according to society’s expectations.

But while others focused on etiquette and feminine ideals, Akarshika became interested in learning about the kingdom. Unlike the other princesses who were more interested in dresses and dances, she spent her time reading about governance and strategy. Her curiosity about knowledge grew stronger than her interest in warfare, and she found more fascination in books than in weapons.

In the busy palace, Akarshika was usually quiet, observing everything around her with her thoughtful brown eyes. With her long hair and fair skin, she stood out in her elegant clothes, and when she did speak, her words were often sharp and insightful, surprising those who heard her.

Two people who were always by her side were her friends Subhadra and Dushala. They supported her in the absence of her mother, who she missed deeply.

Now, back in the palace after eight years in Kanyakul, Akarshika thought about those important years. Dressed in a simple white outfit and wearing a pearl necklace, her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a bright light in the room. Annoyed, she snapped at the maid who had opened the curtains.

"Why did you do that?" she demanded.

"Indu, forgive her," her mother, Queen Arshi, gently intervened, trying to calm the situation. Akarshika glared at the maid but then waved her away.

As the maid left, Arshi turned to her daughter with a playful scolding. "Indu, you've only been back for a day, and already your voice is echoing through the palace."

Indu, the nickname her mother used for her, rolled her eyes and sighed as her mother looked at her with gentle eyes.

"Shall we talk about something else? How was your journey?" Arshi asked, settling on a couch. Indu sat beside her and replied, "It was fine."

"Anything else you want to mention?" her mother asked.

Indu complained, "The journey took eight hours. Everything was annoying, especially Senadhipathi making us late."

Arshi chuckled and reminded her, "You know Harsh cares for you like an older brother. He probably did it for your safety." Indu reluctantly admitted, "It wasn’t all bad. The forest was quite beautiful."

Her mother then told her, "The Pandavas and Kauravas are back from their Gurukul, so there will be a celebration."

But Akarshika, unhappy with her father’s favoritism towards the Kauravas, simply shook her head and said, "No."
