Chapter: 2 | I can't stop thinking about you |

Hallie POV

Right when I entered the big house, my abusive father appeared in front of me with the woman he traded for my mother, my blood always boils when I see the two of them together.

I stopped for a moment and looked at them blankly, I was about to continue walking when Dad suddenly spoke

"You are now a famous faceless artist" His manner made me wince because of my annoyance I immediately clenched my fist

"This is what you want, isn't it, for people to know me only by my name, why would I become an artist if I can't show my face to many people" I answered blankly.

Dad's expression changed, "I don't want to argue with you anymore, we need to talk," he just said, making me wince.

"I'm disgusted by the way you make faces when I see you, Dad, I don't want to talk to you" I said tiredly and continued walking, I hadn't even taken a few steps when he spoke, which surprised me.

"Aren't you going to ask me if Sunghoon and I met" His name seemed echo to my mind"It's a good thing Sunghoon met me" He said sarcastically which surprised me even more

what is he planning with Sunghoon, and because I had my back to them, I closed my eyes tightly before facing him

" What are you planning with Sunghoon huh? Your abusing me isn't enough for you, it isn't enough for you to control everything I want....and now you met Sunghoon!! why Dad? Why? I know, I know you're planning something with him and I'll do everything to protect him from you" I said because I'm nervous for Sunghoon, I know Dad is dangerous and I have a hunch he's planning something against Sunghoon

"Just relax, my daughter, only Sunghoon and I know what we talked about," he said with a smile

I can't be satisfied until I know what they talked about

I don't want Sunghoon to have any more connection with my family, especially with Dad

"Later we have a visitor, you have to come down here" He said, "I can't come down, I have a lot to do, I only come home once so I don't want to be disturbed"

I didn't look at them anymore and I walked straight

I even heard my stepmother say "Hallie, thank you for coming here"

I just walked straight until I reached my room. I missed coming home here since Mom disappeared. I don't come here anymore. I just live in my condo. There are many memories. Mom is still left here every time I look at the corners of the house. I just remember Mom

I lazily turned the door knob and immediately entered my room

I sat on the edge of the bed and silently observed my entire room, nothing had changed

It's been three years since Mom passed away and I still miss her, Mom is the only one who is my side whenever Dad's voice lifts me up. She's the only one who understands me she's my only ally and now she's gone I have to be strong for myself

I blinked when someone suddenly knocked from outside my room

"Hallie, it's me your aunt Carmela, can I come in, I've got your food in case you're hungry" she said from outside

"Thank you, but I'm not hungry," I answered immediately

"can i come in"

I took a deep breath before standing up and walking to the door and immediately opened it

my stepmother appeared in front of me with food, I let her enter first, when she entered she slowly put the food she brought on my study table

"Now you can go out" I said blankly I know what I said was a bit rude but I get really annoyed when I see her.

"before I leave your room, I hope you believe that I have no intention of usurping your Mommy's position, if you want someone to talk to, you can call me, we can be friends" She said with a smile that annoyed me even more

"I don't want to be friends with you, can you just go out I'm tired aunty I want to rest" I said indifferently

"take a rest" She said before leaving my room I didn't look at her I just looked straight ahead

just then I looked at the door when she got out, I closed my eyes tightly and tiredly threw my body on the bed

I just stared at the ceiling while Sunghoon crossed my mind, it's been five years since I lost connection with him and we haven't talked

I can't help thinking about him, I don't know what he and Dad talked about.

I just felt that tears suddenly fell from the corner of my eyes "Sunghoon, are you okay? You're like a mushroom, you suddenly appear" There is a trace of sadness in my voice as I wonder if he's doing well, if he's okay, if he's happy he is in his life now, I hope you are okay.
