"Mama? MAMA?!" I quickly get up from bed hearing Billie screaming out for me. "Billie? Where are you?" I look around the house. "Mama!!" She runs towards me in my arms. "Hey baby, what's wrong? It's 4 in the morning." I wipe her tears away. "C-can't find beebee." "Aw no Billie, I'm sure it's around here somewhere." Her beebee is what she called her favorite blanket. It was a pastel pink fleece baby blanket with yellow stars on it. "No find it. Look all over m' room." "Hey baby, let's go back to bed and in the morning we can look for it when it's not dark." "C-can't s-seep wif out it." She pouts. I pick her up carrying her in our bed. Laying next to her. "Shhh baby, mama is right here." I caress her check and comfort her. I start to hum twinkle twinkle little star, her favorite. She eventually falls asleep. I close my eyes and go back to sleep.

I feel shaking and someone hitting my back. "Wake up mama!! Up!!" I groan and flip on my back. "Okay okay I'm up." I open my eyes seeing Billie waiting patiently on the bed. "God, what time is it anyway?" She shrugs. "Can we look for beebee now?" I grab my phone, it's 7:30am. "Let me freshen up and then we can eat breakfast first." "B-but I wanna look now!!" She whines. "You're not hungry baby?" She shakes her head. Her stomach growls loudly. She giggles. "That's what i thought" I get up and go to the bathroom. Billie follows me and sits on the floor playing with her animal figures. "Mama look a elephant!!" She holds up a toy. "What tis one?" She holds up a cheetah. "That's a cheetah." "Ooh it cool!!" I finish up in the bathroom washing my face in cold water to wake myself up. "Okay let's find something to eat." Billie whines and reaches out for me. "Come here baby." I pick her up realizing she needed a change. "Let's get you cleaned up first."

After I changed her we decided on oatmeal. I had her drink apple juice in her sippy while I prepared our food. "Mama?" She calls out. "Hmm?" "Is it ready yet?" "Almost. I know you're hungry." I finish cooking the oatmeal and scooping some in her bowl and mine. Sprinkling some cinnamon on the top. "Okay it's done, it's just really hot, so we just need to wait for it to cool." Billie runs over to me. "Eat now?" "Let's wait a few minutes otherwise you're gonna burn your mouth." She covers her mouth while gasping. I chuckle at her. "Can you feed me?" "Of course honey." "Yay!!" She sits down at the dining table patiently waiting. "Aw you're such a good girl, thank you for waiting." She smiles big kicking her legs. A few minutes later, it was cool enough to eat. I bring the bowls with me sitting next to her. "Okay open up." "Ahhh!" She opens her mouth wide. "Not like that silly." She laughs. "C'mon Bils, faster you eat the faster we can look for beebee." She nods and takes her first bite. "Mhmm! It so good mama!!" "I'm glad you love it, but it's not nice to talk with your mouth full." "Sorry!" She shouts out while the oatmeal lands on my face. "This is why we don't talk with our mouths full." I chuckle and wipe my cheek. "Oopsie." She covers her mouth.

After breakfast I cleaned up while Billie looked all around the living room for her blanket. I walk to her. "Any luck?" She pouts and shakes her head. "Aw well I'm sure we'll find it. You just had it with you yesterday.. Can you remember what you did in the afternoon?" She makes a thinking face. "I took nap here on the couch and when I wake up beebee not there!" Hmm are you sure you had it before you went to sleep? What did you do before that?" "I dunno." She shrugs. I try to think what we did yesterday. We didn't go out, I caught up on my work in our office. So I wasn't with her after we ate lunch. She played and watched tv then had a nap. "Well let's look in your playroom." "I already did mama!!" "Let's check again." She nods and follows me. I look around the room, clothes and toys all over the floor. "Let's clean up and maybe we'll find it." We pick up the dirty clothes throwing it in the laundry basket. "No see it?" She pouts. "Not yet but it has to be in the house." I pick up and fold the blankets placing it in the closet. She helps me pick up her toys putting them away. "All clean, atleast we can walk without stepping on things now!" "No beebee.." She pouts. "C'mon let's keep looking." I look all over her playroom, under the bed, on the bed, her closet, her drawers. All over, nothing. "Let's check the bathroom." Don't know if it'd be there but no harm in checking. I look all around, nothing. We go into our bedroom. We start looking all around the room. "I never find beebee again!" She crosses her arms pouting. "Hey shh Bils, let's not give up yet, okay?" She didn't want to look at me. I let her be and continued to look around. "I'll be looking around the house." I let her know, she's still standing against the wall arms crossed and looking down. "It has to be here somewhere right??" I say to myself. Looking in the living room again. Nothing. The kitchen? The garage was the last place. I go to check. Looking all around through everything. Nothing again. Just when I was about to give up, I see something pink through the washer's door. I quickly opened the washer and found it! It had a brown stain, it smelled like chocolate. I laugh to myself. Running back in the house with the blanket to show Billie. "Baby I found it!!" "Beebee??!" She runs out to me. "Where was it?!" "It was in the washer, did you put it in there?" She didn't wanna look at me. "Hey it's okay, you did the right thing. It's dirty so it needed to be washed.""I got chocolate and it melted on beebee. I wanted to wash it myself but I don't know how to use it and I didn't wanna bother you while you were working... then I forgot about it cause I got tired." "Aww honey, it's okay, are you happy I found beebee?" "Yes!! I thought I lost it." "I knew it had to be in the house somewhere.. well I'm going to wash it since it's dirty." "NO! I've missed it all day!!" She grabs it away from me. "It mine!" I cringed without showing it, it needed to be washed badly but I didn't want her to cry. "Okay baby. Here let's cuddle and watch a movie." "Yay!! I wan watch Barbie pease!!" "Of course." I play the movie and she cuddles into my side. Holding beebee close to her. Hoping she'd fall asleep so I can wash it. "Mama?" "Hmm?" "Am pwetty like barbie?" "Bils, You're beautiful in your own way." She smiles at me. "Mama beautiful too!" "Aw thank you." She leans in pecks my lips and giggles. "You silly girl, I love you Billie." "I love you too!" She lays down using my lap as a pillow holding onto beebee. I brush her hair softly with my fingers. Towards the end of the movie, I hear soft snoring. I look down and she's sleeping. I carefully move out of the way, thankfully she was a heavy sleeper. Her blanket was half way on the ground, falling out of her hand. I gently take it to wash it hoping it would be clean before she wakes up.
