Two weeks later Skye was nowhere closer to knowing where to start with planning the ball. He'd watched every video and read as many books as possible but was still at a loss on how to do it all. Groaning, he got up to get ready for school. There was no point in thinking of things that he couldn't do or the fact that the other two were also part of the mess now.
"Good morning, Mother," Noah greeted him sitting at the island pouring himself a coffee.
"What's so good about it?" Skye asked morosely, stabbing at the scrambled eggs.
"Still panicking about the ball?" Noah asked tentatively. He'd been walking on eggshells around Skye who was even more withdrawn and moody, if possible.
"Yeah," he admitted. "I don't know where to start and even if I did, how do you put all the parts together? There's no way I'm going to be able to do it all."
"It's true what they say, pretty people are dumb," Noah reached over to get some eggs.
"What?" Skye snapped.
"You're being dumb, there are three of us and we should be able to come up with a decent plan. Come on Skye, you don't have to do everything on your own, let us help you."
"Thanks," he nodded giving Noah a brief smile before getting back to his breakfast. "Where's Tsukasa?"
"He left for school already. He wanted to take the mock test this morning," he knew he should be doing the same thing, but they started at six which didn't sit right with him.
"You should be doing the same thing, Class B," Skye chastised.
"I know, I know. Can we save the lecture for later? There's no need to spoil a perfectly good morning."
Walking through the school gate, Tsukasa caught up with them, slightly out of breath.
"I thought I was going to miss you this morning," Tsukasa smiled shyly at Noah, who automatically blushed.
"Don't worry, I made your lunch," Noah proudly informed him holding out his lunchbag.
"I made it, you slept late again," Skye reminded him.
"Well, I packed it," he briefly looked past Skye as a group of his diehard fans walked by buzzing. "Skye, do you trust me?"
"No," he immediately responded, sure that Noah had something planned. Probably something he wasn't going to enjoy much.
"Shut up, turd," he snapped half his mind on Skye. "Listen, I'm going to have a chat with them quickly, when I look at you guys, smile and wave, okay? It's easy enough to remember, right Skye?"
"What.."
"Shut up! When I look at the two of you all you do is?"
"Smile and wave," both boys said, Tsukasa looking at him curiously.
"Good," he turned around and ran to the blond-haired boy who'd cornered him about Skye before.
"Excuse me, Casey, do you have a moment for me?" He started politely, looking at the boy with flawless skin, perfect smile and hair that obviously cost a lot to maintain. Not sure of the welcome he'd receive he approached them like you would a pack of wolves. Fanclubs were tricky at the best of times.
"You're that boy who's always bothering Skye, aren't you?" He asked pointedly, looking at Noah as if he was something that should be grateful it was alive.
"Well, I wouldn't say bothering," he trailed off. "It's actually because of Skye that I'm here," he let drop, knowing that their interest would be piqued.
