Nova made her way to her locker quickly. She had finished her last class of the day and was so ready to get back in bed. Eyes followed her every step as she tried to avoid them. She loosely understood why. She would be just as curious if it had happened to someone else. She glanced up as she got closer to her destination only to see two figures stood by her locker already. Nova rolled her eyes. She still hadn't accepted Stu's appology for his liver joke at lunch. It wasn't that she minded the dark humour. It was just a little hard to laugh at something that happened to a close friend of hers. One that was now gone.
She avoided their gazes as she quickly opened her locker and dumped her books in. Stu's eyes flickered around her locker. There were pictures of friends and family on the inside. A small mirror was glued onto the inside of the door. It was fairly organised. Nova dumped her books inside as she felt eyes on her.
"Nova," Billy stated firmly. Nova wasn't used to the tone but knew he only used it when he was being serious. Nova quickly turned to him with a raised an eyebrow. She wasn't about to back down. Billy eyes glanced over her. Anyone could see the tension from a mile away. Anyone but her.
"What?" She asked firmly as Billy narrowed his eyes at her. Stu leant against the lockers as he watched them. Nova was stubborn. Too stubborn.
"Drop the attitude," Billy warned as Nova rolled her eyes. She slammed her locker shut. The action made Stu jump out of his daydream as he watched the small girl try and move past Billy. But Billy was quick in moving her back. His hands on her hips as he pushed her back lightly. Nova glared at Billy. Neither seemed to want to back down.
"What attitude?" She asked as she narrowed her eyes at him. Billy raised an eyebrow as he dared her to continue. Nova may be stubborn but Billy would break down those walls just as easily. Nova rolled her eyes as she leant back against the locker. Billy released his hold on her as he watched her carefully.
"Don't you two have girlfriends to annoy?" Nova questioned the pair as she let out a small huff. Billy rolled his eyes. Stu smirked as he perched his chin on her head.
"But your far more entertaining," Stu spoke out with a smirk as Nova sideyed him suspiciously. Billy shrugged in agreement.
"So what do you guys want?" Nova finally gave in as Billy smirked. He gave a glance to Stu as Stu wrapped his arms around the girl. Nova didn't swat his hands away. She knew Billy and Stu were quite affectionate. Although, she had never seen Billy be as affectionate with her sister. Then again, Sidney had problems in that area.
"Well we wondered if you wanted to have a movie night. Like old times!" Stu explained as Nova glanced between Billy and Stu. She didn't know if it was a good idea. There was a killer on the lose and for some reason it left her alive that night. She knew there was a reason and she knew they would be back for her.
"I don't know guys," She muttered as she glanced to the floor. Stu glanced to Billy as he quickly spun Nova to face him.
"Please, Nova! We'll protect you if that's what your worried about," Stu pushed on as Nova was still unsure.
"Stu, I don't even think you could defend yourself from a spider," Nova deadpanned as Billy bit back a chuckle. Stu gave her an offended look that was playful as he rolled his eyes.
"Rude! I could very much defend myself from a spider. I'll have you know!" Stu exclaimed as Nova shook her head as she chuckled. Both their ears pricked up at the sweet, angelic noise. Nova smiled slightly as she sighed.
"Fine! But I get to choose the movie!" Nova comprimised as both boys smirked. The two nodded as Stu spun her around. Billy and Stu sandwitched her between them as they began to walk towards the door.
"Of course," Billy replied in a flirty tone. Nova hadn't even picked up on it. The boys were glad that they got to spend the night with Nova. They probably weren't even gonna watch the movie. But they needed her trust now more than ever.

Nova sat in the passenger seat of Stu's car. It was slightly dirty with random french fries on the floor or stains from drinks on the seats. Nova remebered last christmas when Stu bought her hot choclate every day before school. It had spilt so much by the time he got to school but it was the thought that counted. Billy was in the back with his hands rested on either seats. It was a known rule that Nova always sat in the passenger seat.
"Why were you at Casey's last night?" Stu suddenly asked as he backed out of the school parking lock. He glanced at Billy through the rear view mirror. Billy studied Nova as Nova glanced over at Stu.
"Annual movie night. We hadn't had one in ages because of Steve. But when she called and asked, I couldn't say no," Nova explained as Stu nodded. Stu and Billy didn't know Nova were going to be there. When Billy heard her voice, he almost called it off. But they had spent months and knew if they treaded carefully then Nova would be fine. Or she was suppose to be before Stu had knocked her out when getting inside Casey Becker's house.
"I'm sorry about before you know," Stu exclaimed as he glanced towards Nova. Nova shrugged as she looked out the window. She watched the fields pass by. Stu didn't live close by school.
"I wasn't that bothered by your joke. It's the fact that it was about someone who I cared about who died," Nova deadpanned with an expressionless face. Nova was honest. She wouldn't lie to Stu or sugar-coat it. There was no reason to. Stu nodded as Nova studied the landscape outside. They were surprised at how unbothered she seemed but maybe it was a facade to make it seem like she was okay. Nova glanced over to Stu who still looked confused. But he wasn't confused by what she said. It was how she said it.
"In simplier terms, you didn't have to act like a dick about Casey dying ," Nova stated as Billy tried to hide his laughter but failed. Stu rolled his eyes as he glanced towards Nova. He turned towards Billy with a frown.
"Your taking her side!" Stu whined as Billy rolled his eyes. Nova chuckled lightly as the trio pulled up into the Macher residence.
"It's like arguing with a small child!" Billy muttered as he climbed out the car. Nova shook her head as she tried to contain her smile but failed. Stu frowned as he climbed out the car. He rushed after the pair quickly.
"I am not like a small child! Nova, tell him!" Stu whined as Nova shook her head lightly.
"You two sort out your own shit," Nova deadpanned to the pair as she held her hands up in surrender. Stu whined as he rushed after Nova. Sometimes, Nova wondered if Stu was as clingy to Tatum. But she shook the thought from her head as she stepped inside Stu's house. The same house Stu usually threw parties at.
