There were mutters around her as she tried to open her eyes. But they felt too heavy. She groaned as she lulled her head to the side. The chatter instantly stopped as she opened her eyes. The brightness was so harsh and sudden she had to blink a few times to adjust but she noticed she was in some sort of vehicle. An ambulance to be exact.
"Hey. Your okay, your okay," Billy repeated softly as her eyes fell on him. He gave her a weak smile as he held onto her hand. Her head was swarmed as she tried to rememeber what had happened. It was all a little fuzzy. She wondered how Billy had got there so fast. He didn't exactly live close by.
"It's gonna be okay, Nova," Billy called out as her eyes rolled back. She fell into darkness again. The sirens echoed in her mind as sleep called her. Was this it?
