Ranboo saw as their life flashed before their eyes.
They couldn't breathe.
They couldn't move.
A muffled scream..
Ranboo couldn't make out what it was.
"MHHHH?!"
The muffled voice seemed to stop.
Suddenly, Ranboo felt something grip their wrist.
Air.
Ranboo gasped for air.
"MARS! ARE YOU OK?!" Ranboo opened their eyes and looked up.
Charlie.
"Charlie!" Ranboo said breathlessly, hugging the other instantly.
"Mark.. I'm so sorr-" Tommy started, walking toward Ranboo.
Charlie's grip seemed to tighten.
"Get the hell away from us." Charlie said sternly.
"Bu-" Tommy was cut off.
"OUT!" Charlie shouted.
"Cmon.." Tubbo said, grabbing Tommy's wrist.
"What?! No! You know I'm not in the wrong her-" Tommy was interrupted.
"I said. Let's. Go." Tubbo repeated as he dragged Tommy out of the house.
"It's alright.. Cmon.. let's go get you a towel.." Charlie said soothingly, taking Ranboo inside.
"Hey Natalie! Can you get me a towel?" Charlie said as he heard Ranboo shiver.
"It's ok, kid.." Charlie said, pulling Ranboo in a side hug.
"Rught away!"
After about 2 minutes, Natalie came back with a towel.
"Thanks.." Charlie handed Ranboo the towel.
Ranboo wrapped the towel around them.
"Cmon kid.. Go take a shower.. How about we get some ice cream or something?"
Ranboo smiled.
"Yeah.. That sounds nice.. I'll go shower now.."

After about 20 minutes, Ranboo came out of the bathroom.
They used the hair dryer to dry their hair faster.
Soooo..
Yeah!
"Cmon kid, let's go." Charlie said with a smile.
Ranboo followed Charlie to the chauffeur.
"Where to?" The chauffeur asked.
"Oh! Uh.. Hey kid, coldstone or Baskin robins?"
"Coldstone."
"Coldstone!" Charlie declared as the driver drove away.
After a few minutes, they were there.
"Hey! I would like a chocolate scoop with cookie dough. What about you kid?"
"Mint chocolate chip and salted caramel." Ranboo replied, smiling.
"Is that it?" The worker asked.
"Yeah! That's it!" Charlie said as the worker got their orders.
The 2 sat down at a table and ate their ice cream.
"Soo.. Who were those guys who pushed you into the pool?"
Ranboo had 2 options.
Lie and say he didn't know who they were.
Or
Tell the truth and not know what Charlie's reaction will be.
"Oh.. My fifth grade friends.." Ranboo muttered but still loud enough for Charlie to hear.
"Tommy and Tubbo, to be specific.."
"You mean the people who were supposed to come to your 12th and 13th birthday but never showed up?"
"Yeah.." Ranboo said under their breath.
"Hey.. kid.. It's fine." Charlie gave a warm smile.
Ranboo smiled back before taking the last bite of their ice cream.
