Ranboo sighed as he looked up from their phone.
Ranboo put on a random black jacket and a matching mask, along with a pair of black jeans and black Converse shoes that they drew stars onto them.
Making sure he had their phone and lighter, they walked towards the window.
Ranboo opened the window and climbed out of it.
The wind hit their skin, a gentle breeze, not too cold, not too hot.
Ranboo let out a breathy sigh as he climbed down onto the tree next to their window, then onto the fence where he hung onto the tree, making sure they didn't fall immediately.
They climbed down the fence, hitting the ground with a thud.
A call.
"Hey! Where ya at? We were planning on going to McDonald's after this." The soothing voice of Ranboo's partner filled their ears.
A smile tugged on their lips as he replied, "I just left my house, same area, right?"
Ranboo knew the 'we' meant Aimsey, Guqqie, and Bill.
He couldn't help but smile at the memories the 5 made at the park.
Smoking cigarettes late at night, listening to the midnight sound with the comfortable silence, talking about school about how the teachers are annoying.
The memories were beyond amazing.
"Yeah, same area. Love ya!" You could hear Danny's smile on the other line.
"Love you too." Ranboo returned before hanging up and putting their phone back in their pocket.
Ranboo smiled as he kept on walking, hearing the sounds of night fill their ears.
Racing cars, stray cats meowing softly, and the soft foot steps coming from them.
The dim lights coming from windows flickering and turning off, Ranboo could practically hear the "Good night, love you." Coming from parents or couples.
Ranboo made it to the park, as if it was on cue, hearing their friends laugh.
"Hey guys!" Ranboo said with a smile, taking a seat on the grass with the other 4.
"Hey, Ran! Bill was just telling us about how Tommy sucks at gituar!" Aimsey chirped happily as a smile formed on her face.
"Ooooh! Tell me!" Ranboo said happily, almost begging, but not quite.
"Alright- so you know the music teacher that came last year? Mr. Marriott?" Bill asked, already laughing a bit.
"Yeah! Doesn't he work with Mr. Kabosou now?" Ranboo asked softly.
"Oh, yeah! Anyway, Mr. Kabosou teaches bass, Mr. Marriott teaches gituar! So Mr. Kabosou always leaves the basses in the classroom, BUT Mr. Marriott told everyone not to mix up the guitars with the basses. Tommy picked, not a guitar, not a bass, but a goddamn banjo."
Everyone burst out laughing, almost enough to hurt their stomach.
"Alright, who's down to get some McDonald's? I brought my car!" Daniel squealed excitedly.
"Oooh! Me!" Guqqie said instantly, hearing everyone agree all at once.
Everyone followed Danny to his car. It could fit about 8 people, a brown, shiny body, along with clear windows and mirrors you could see your reflection perfectly in.
Ranboo sat in the front seat, Bill took the right seat in the back, Aimsey took the middle seat, Guqqie sat on the left, and finally, Danny sat in the driver's seat.
The comforting silence filled the car.
It wasn't completely silent.
The radio that was softly playing 2023 hits was playing.
And the lights flickered.
It was comforting.
Soon enough, Danny's voice filled the car.
"What do you guys want?" Danny asked, turning to the other 4 people that sat before him.
"I'll take a big Mac, fries, chicken nuggets, and a m&m Mc flurry."
"Big Mac, fries, chicken nuggets, strawberry milkshake for me!"
"I'll take a cheese burger, fries, chicken nuggets, and a soft serve, that's all I want."
"I just want a big Mac, fries, chicken nuggets, and a oreo Mc flurry.">>>>
The 5 sat on the curb, nobody out, nobody cared.
Everyone was just eating until they finished.
"Hey. Who has the cigarettes?" Bill asked, already taking out his lighter.
Danny dumped 3 boxes of cigarettes as everyone took one.
The calming smoke came out of their mouths as Ranboo let a sigh escape their lips.
The smoke seemed calming.
It seemed to let them forget about their problems.
The cold air seemed to get warmer as another cloud of smoke was released.
Another breathy sigh.
Ranboo rested their head on Danny's shoulder as he inhaled the smoke Danny let out.
Maybe it was the smokers and not the smoke that made it seem calming.
