Chapter 5

We all quickly rode our bikes to Ben's house to see what he wanted to show us, we all entered his room and we was starstruck by what we saw. His room was covered in all things things to do with the history of Derry, which includes missing posters of children.
Richie was first to comment on his room
"Wow"
Ben smiled "cool huh?"
"No, no nothing cool" he obviously was lying as the expression on his face told all of us he definitely thought it was cool,
"This is cool right here. Wait no. No, it's not cool" he continued.
We all started to look all around the room and I laid my eyes on something from in the past.
"What's that?" I pointed at one posters on the school,
"Oh, that? That's the charter for Derry Township." Ben explained,
"Nerd alert" Richie chuckled,
"Shut up Richie" I whispered which caused him to laugh even more
"No, actually it's really interesting, Derry started as a beaver trapping camp" Ben explained.
"Still is am I right boys?" Richie put his hand up for a high five which I gave him one to shut him up,
"Ninety one people signed the charter that made Derry, but later that winter they all disappeared without a trace" Ben continued,
"The entire camp?" Eddie asked
"There were rumours of Indians but no sign of an attack. Everybody just thought it was a plague or something. But, it's like one day everybody just woke up and left. The only clue was a trail of bloody clothes leading to the well house." Ben explained
Bill was now interested in what Ben was telling us and I walked right next to him as I was a bit scared by what Ben was telling us.
"Jesus we can get Derry on unsolved mysteries" Richie obviously uncomfortable by what Ben was telling us. I then decided to speak to Bill for a minute
"I can't believe this can you? I mean I always sensed Derry was different to other towns but not like this" I said in disbelief
"I g-guess it makes sense as to why s-s-so many tragedies happen in Derry"
I nodded to what Bill said,
He then turned his attention to the others,
"Where was the well house?" Bill asked
"I don't know. Somewhere in town, I guess, why?" Ben shrugged,
"Nothing" Bill responded.
We all looked back up at all the missing posters for a few more minutes,
"Hey guys me and Mollie gotta go it's nearly curfew" Richie told the others,
"Yeah sorry guys we will speak to you all tomorrow" both waved goodbye to the others and hopped on our bikes back to our house.
