Reyna couldn't remember much about herself or her family. However, when she found the letter that was addressed to her on her desk next to her camera, she couldn't help but wonder why the letter was sent now. As her eyes scanned the letter for the third time as she felt her eyes brim with unshed tears. Reyna was unsure what she felt she was on the verge of crying, especially for people she couldn't remember or at least she felt she had no attachment to. Her mind told her that, but her heart told her otherwise. As Reyna's eyes drifted to the photo once again she felt an unfamiliar ache in her chest. A heavy sigh left her lips as she placed the photo on top of the letter next to her camera. Her long slender fingers moved across the cold plastic keys of her laptop. As she began to bring her laptop to life in hopes of searching up what little information she knew about her family. Rey's eyes closed as she felt her fingers move a little faster, it was like second nature to the young female with royal purple hair and silver eyes. She had started to hum a lullaby one she hadn't realized was from her childhood, the young Phoenix Griffin Hybrid's eyes shot open as she stopped mid hum.
"Where do I know this song from?" Reyna mumbled to herself as she shook her head quickly. This was happening more and more as she caught herself lost in her own thoughts. As she turned her focus back to her laptop, her eyes narrowed at the device as irritation began to show in her creased brow. It had never taken this long for her laptop to turn on before, as a groan slipped from the violet haired female's lips. She knew that a simple search on the internet could possibly give her more than that letter had. Her parents' names, names of her siblings. However, as she stared at the black screen that was taking forever to load, she wondered if she was ready to discover her past. Reyna knew that she was alone in most of this, though she did have her two best friends, who were like her sisters. As her eyes drifted from the blank screen of the laptop she remembered what it had said about her having a twin, but it said nothing about the gender of that twin. As she let this settle in she wondered if she had passed he or she on the street, another sigh slipped from her lips as she decided to pour herself a glass of tea.
'What were they like? Were we close?' Rey thought to herself as her eyes moved away from her desk and what it held.
While her silver eyes scanned the scenery, the young female couldn't help but laugh softly at two children she saw playing at the front gate. She gave a small wave, and her smile grew as the young boy and his older sister waved back. She had noticed the mother and her children had just moved in about a month ago. As she took a sip of her tea her mind slipped back and forth from the present to the past.
"E..Hey E..ECHO! Echo come on!" A melodious yet mischievous male voice called out to her past younger self.
"Ai! I can't walk, remember?" Reyna yelled at the young boy who was calling her by the nickname he had given her when they had first learned how to start talking.
The boy whose eyes were similar to hers held an amused look as he knelt down in front of Reyna and chuckled at him, the younger boy had always taken care of Reyna when she needed it.
"Alright, I was only teasing you anyway Echo. Come on up you go, I'll carry you." He told her in amusement.
"Hmph!"Rey playfully glared at the boy as she climbed onto his back. "Thank you Ain." She whispered as she placed a loving yet unromantic kiss on his cheek.
Reyna was pulled back to the present by the ding that came from her laptop, as her eyes drifted to the screen, her silver eyes widened in horror at what she was reading. This wasn't what she had hoped to find. The young woman was hoping to find what her family looked like, maybe even her twin but not the death of her entire family. As her eyes fell to the news article from about six or seven years ago. Reyna's fingers moved quickly along the keyboard as she typed in a password that let her into more detailed files that she hoped would give her more information on her family. The password let her into a sealed file she couldn't help but wonder what her twin was like.
