As the next few Sunday's passed, Monica found herself starting to become infatuated with him. Although she knew it was bad, she couldn't help but to feel that way. Her friend tried to tell and explain to her this wouldn't be good for her in the long run, but of course..Monica did not listen..When did she ever??
Monica woke up curious. She was wondering if the man, Emmanuel, she learned was his name, would be there again today. I mean..why would he not? He's been there the last few Sunday's, still staring at her.
She met up with her best friend the first time she saw him. It wasn't much to discuss at that time besides the fact she thought this man was cute and wondered about him from time to time ever since she had seen him, but nothing crucial. But now, there was a lot to discuss. The man had a staring problem..Monica could just be in her own little world, and she'll look up to see him staring at her.
Rolling out of bed, she started to get ready and put a little effort into her appearance. Because she would sometimes help out in the kids ministry, she tried not too overdress since she'd be moving around and sweating anyway. She didn't do much but apply mascara and lipgloss. She knew she shouldn't just be dressing up for a man, when he didn't even matter. It was all about God. But she still didn't want to show up looking a mess.
Pushing those thoughts aside, Monica grabbed her keys and made her way to the Lord's House.
After arriving, she got out the car and walked into the building. Greeting everyone she walked in and slightly looked around. She saw him, sitting next to a woman and 4 kids. Thinking to herself, she realized that he was married with kids. Shrugging it off, she walked to her destination and decided to push him to the back of her mind.
After church ended, she left out of the pre school ministry, and made eye contact with the man. Quickly looking away, she looked over at him again after a few seconds and noticed he was still staring at her.
Deciding to completely divert her attention from him, she saw one of her friends and walked over to her to distract herself from what just happened.
It wasn't much but why was he staring at her? She found it kind of strange....
After getting home, she texted the same friend she met up with the other day and told her everything. Her friend told her not to worry too much about him staring. He could just have a staring problem after all. Monica agreed with her and sighed. Only time would tell for sure if he had a staring problem or if he was just flat out weird.
