While I wait for the race to start I go sit above the pits with Kelly, Carmen and Lily. It's Lights Out and Charles gets a great start with Lewis already trying to get past Carlos. Charles takes the lead while Carlos remains 3rd defending himself from Lewis. checo, Kevin and Lewis all fight for 4th going around the 4th corner.

In lap 3, Perez takes 5th out of Kevin's hands. In lap 17, Max gets DRS and takes the lead from Charles. while doing that Max gets the fastest lap but before Max can celebrate Charles takes the lead back from Max. I find myself cheering and then falling back into my seat when Max uses his DRS again on the slipstream and Max takes the lead.

Not a moment later, Charles gets DRS and gains the lead for the 3rd time just in 18 laps. In lap 19, Max tries to overtake yet had a big lock-up which causes him to call back around turn 3. In lap 46, I watch on the edge of my seat as I see one of the Alpha Taruis' cars overheat and catch on fire. I watch as my brother steps out of the car disappointed. A virtual yellow flag gets deployed.

In lap 50, Max uses the flag to his advantage and tries to hustle Charles yet fails as the flag goes green. Carlos gets closer and tries to get 2nd but as Max speeds up for Charles, Carlos falls behind. In lap 54, with only 3 laps to go, Carlos overtakes Verstappen using his DRS hopefully making it a Ferrari 2:1. Max loses power letting Checo, Hamilton and Russell. Max pulls out of the race returning to the pits. Kelly runs off to comfort Max leaving the rest of us on the edge of our seats.

Lap 57, the final lap. Perez also starts to lose power, then spins out causing an instant yellow flag making Hamilton 3rd. Carlos moves up to second but Charles nearly hits him trying to block him suddenly.. Charles wins Bahrain 2022 and the crowd cheers.

'CHARLES LECLERC WHO WON TWICE IN FORMULA ONE BEFORE FROM POLE WINS FROM POLE AGAIN AND STARTS THE SEASON WITH CELEBRATIONS FOR FERRARI. CHARLES LECLERC WINS THE BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX AND IT A 2, 1, FOR THE SCUBARIA AS CARLOS SAINZ COMES HOME IN SECOND.'

I run down to the pits and watch as everyone celebrates. Charles gets out of his car and smiles at me. I briefly hug him before Carlos picks me up and swings me around then places his lips on mine in front of everyone.

"So your officially mine?" Carlos says smiling at me.

"Si soy todo tuyo mi amor" I wisper in his ear.

Carlos runs off to celebrate with his team while i smarten myself up ready to be a journalist. Samual gives me a queue and a walk around talking about what i say then stopped Hamilton for a quick interview.

"So Lewis, How did you personally think the race went? congratulations by the way!" I say into the mic.

"Im happy with the result, I mean I think I could have done better but I'm thankful for everyone in the Mercedes garage who worked endlessly to prepare for this race," Lewis said smiling and waving at these engineers.

"Thanks, Lew, Now let's speak to Charles Leclerc!" I say trying not to act shocked as I see Samual hold up my line.

"So Charles, What an achievement! Winning in Bahrain! How are you after the race?" I say smiling.

"It's amazing! I'm over the moon and I've loved every moment, i just wanted to say thank you to everyone and bonjour to my mother and brother in the crowd." Charles says not taking his eyes off my eyes.

"Thats great! now i wont keep you from your celebrations!" I say looking into the camera than back at Charles before he shakes my hand leaving a note in my palm.

"Well that's all for the meantime! Lets see Matt at the podium!" i say smiling then Samual shouting 'not live'. i nod then get stopped by another journalist.
