"SO HOW WAS YOUR TRIP" makayla squealed as she ran her freshly done acrylics through her box braids, ariana smiled at her friend. she'd been waiting for makayla to ask that question ever since she stepped through the door.
"brooo, i found me a new man" ariana smiled putting her hands over her face to hide the huge smile that was coming in, "wait what," makayla paused side eyeing her friend, "you go on a lil cruise or whatever, and now you got a new boo?" her thick new york accent came out heavy, ariana nodded slowly,
she knew makayla wanted her to be with justin. the girl swore the two were soulmates and destined to be together. but she was done with her crush, it was time to move on.
"mhmm" she smiled proudly, makayla held her heart amused by the news. "so you're telling me you're really over justin?!" she semi-yelled, ariana just nodded , just the mention of his name was making her feel some type of way that she didn't want to feel, she was over him.

"broo noo y'all are literally—soulmates" ariana cut her friend off, finishing her sentence for her as she rolled her eyes. she heard this all the time, "girl me and him are just friends," makayla nodded in defeat, just letting it go.
"anyways you look good," ariana complimented changing the subject, makayla felt a grin grow upon her face, "me? girl you had a whole summer glow up," the two girls giggled. if ariana had to choose her favorites out of all her friends makayla would be at the top along side of kayana.
"thank you kayla," she thanked the girl, makayla just nodding in return, "so .. is you tryna go to the water gun fight on the block today?" makayla already knew ariana ain't really like being on the block like that cause all the gang stuff that went on up there, but the water gun fight was gonna be fun so she decided to give it a shot and ask,
