As the days went on, I began to feel more comfortable being back at school. I even started to forget about the incident and enjoy my time, I realized that sometimes, we have to face our fears head-on to overcome them. It was a valuable lesson that I would carry with me for the rest of my life.

I was dropping my books into my locker while texting uzma "where are you? Meet me soon" just then I heard a feminine voice

As I turned around to see who was behind me, a young woman's voice caught my attention. "Umm, yeah," I said, trying to recall her name. I had seen her with Jake in the gym before. "I'm Isabella. I got to know what happened, so I thought of, you know..." She stuttered while talking, as if scared to say something. I could feel my irritation rising, even though she did not do anything wrong.

I had just dropped my books into my locker and was not in the mood to have a conversation with anyone, let alone someone I barely knew. I was still reeling from the events of the morning, and I just wanted to be left alone. But Isabella seemed determined to talk to me, and I could sense that she was trying to be friendly.

"I'm alright now," I replied without thinking twice. I hoped that would be the end of the conversation, but Isabella continued to talk, asking me how I was feeling and if I needed anything. I tried to be polite, but I was getting more and more frustrated.

I heard a locker close, and when I turned to see, Jake was standing there, taking out his books for the next lecture.

"Heyya Jake, been a long time. Oh yeah, you guys went for the trip. How was it?" Isabella started asking him, and I suddenly felt invisible. I couldn't help but feel jealous of Isabella. She seemed to know Jake better than I did, and I couldn't help but wonder what their relationship was like.

But I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the excitement of spending more time with Jake. "Anyway, I may go," I said, turning my back to them and walking away.

"Hey, when is your lunch break? Meet me, okay?" Jake said, with a smile. I felt a flutter in my stomach, and I couldn't help but smile back at him. "Sure," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady.

As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a little bit relieved that the conversation with Isabella was over. But I also couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something going on between her and Jake. I tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on my own feelings for Jake.

The rest of the day passed by in a blur, and before I knew it, it was time for lunch. I made my way to the cafeteria, feeling nervous and excited at the same time.

I walked into the cafétéria, scanning the room for any sign of Uzma or Umar. I
always looked forward to spending lunchtime with them. But today, they were nowhere to be seen. I sighed, feeling a little disappointed, but I decided to make the best of it and find a table to sit at.

I settled my tray on the table and put a fry in my mouth, looking around the room to see if there was anyone I knew. That's when I saw Jake and Isabella walking in, laughing hysterically. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of irritation. What was so funny that they were laughing so hard? I wondered to myself.

I watched as they made their way to a table across the room, completely oblivious to my presence. I felt a pang of disappointment as I realized that Jake had forgotten about our lunch plans. I couldn't help but feel a little hurt. Was I not important enough to remember?

I tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on my food, but I couldn't help but keep an eye on Jake and Isabella. They seemed to be having a great time, laughing and joking around. I couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Was there something going on between them?
