Shadows of Trust

In shadows tossed by love's deception,
A girl once more, her heart did satisfy.
She entrusted, expected, and took a chance,
But now she's entangled in a painful dance.
A boy she believed would heal her soul,
Now ripping her apart, a toll.
She showed her all, her faith so pure,
Yet here she stands, love's lost allure.
Her tender heart, a damaged dove,
Yearns for relief but discovers no love.
She's noticed between a web of misery,
Still sticking to him, despite the strain.
Her views are filled with him per day,
While he's off in his cheerful play.
She observes him with longing eyes,
But he's blind to her heart's demise.
She wonders why he can't sense,
The deepness of love she yearns to share.
Instead, he shifts his gaze away,
Leaving her soul in disarray.
But she's not ready to let him go,
Her love for him persists to grow.
She expects that one day he'll come around,
And in his heart, true love is discovered.
She dreams of junctures they could share,
Of laughter, fun, and love so rare.
But for now, she cries alone,
While he's off on adventures unknown.
Her heart is smashed, bruised, and sore,
Yet still, she remains at love's door.
But until then, she'll stay strong,
Though love has done her so much wrong.
For deep within her soul's embrace,
She'll find the power to heal, to face.
For love, though painful, remains,
And expectation within her heart sustains.
She'll learn to love and trust anew,
For in her strength, her dreams come true.
