Explosive Love. [Kokorou]

Sleepover

Gorou could barely believe his ears. Kokomi, her Excellency, was asking him to come inside her room. Right after catching him spying on her. Well, he liked to believe it wasn't 'spying', but that's besides the point.

"Y-your Excellency, are you okay? I mean isn't that a rather odd response to catching me watching you without your permission?" Kokomi simply giggled, pulling her head back inside the window and walking back to her bed. The general stood frozen for a moment. Should he leave? Tell someone she's awake? That would be the right thing to do... Wouldn't it?

He peeked him head inside the window, catching one last glimpse of Kokomi. She was sitting on her bed, a gentle hum escaping her lips with her eyes shut. She looked so beautiful and calm. He looked down at the round, a gentle pink dusting his cheeks. The sooner he left, the better.

"Um, your Excellency, I'm going to be leaving now..." She opened her eyes, the humming from before suddenly stopping. "I just think it's best that I tell someone you're awake and-" Gorou cut himself off, watching his supreme leader suddenly stand up from her bed. He stayed silent as she slowly approached and gently laid a hand on his cheek. 

"Please, Gorou. Come lay down with me?" She smiled at him and- Oh archons, how could he say no? Even if he did say he didn't want to, his tail said otherwise. It wagged back and forth so fast you could hear the gusts of wind it made.

So when Kokomi grabbed his hands and gently dragged him inside, he followed without resistance. He was like a lost puppy, following her every move without taking his eyes off her.

And Kokomi found it absolutely adorable. He was usually so serious whenever she saw him, probably because they mostly got together for work, but still. Seeing him suddenly so flustered and obedient when he's usually in charge, it did wonders to her heart.

She sat on the bed and Gorou quickly sat next to her. His tail hit the bedding in a ryhmathic pattern, and his fingers messed with each other constantly. She couldn't help but smile.

"Are you nervous?" The question made his eyes wide and his ears stand up.

"No!...maybe?- a little..." His ears flattened against his skull, and his eyes stayed concentration on the floor. It made sense, who wouldn't be nervous about being in their crushes room? He's never been very good with emotions. Which is probably why he was so shocked when Kokomi suddenly pulled him into a tight hug.

"Your Excellency!?" He yelped, both his ears and tails suddenly sticking straight up.

"Kokomi."

"What?..."

"Please, call me Kokomi. You can do that for me can't you Gorou?" She began gently scratching his ears, causing the other to jump.

"B-but- I... It would be very unprofessional if...Mmm~" His body slowly went limp in her arms, his tail wagging excitedly. She made sure to take a mental note that he likes having his ears messed with... Then what about...

She gently ran her fingers through his tail, fur and his purring sounds became suddenly louder. Kokomi couldn't quite understand why, but cuddling with him suddenly became her favorite thing. She wanted to stay like this forever. Listening to the cute sounds he made and how relaxes he looked in her arms.

How strange... Did she feel this way before? Had he always looked this cute?

"Mmm.... Kokomi?.." The priestess looked down, and her heart practically melted. Gorou looked up at her with half-lided eyes, like he could fall asleep at any moment. He must really enjoy it when he gets petted. "I'm tired... Can we- mmm~ lay down?.."

"You're ok with calling me Kokomi now?" She asked with a chuckle.

"Mhm..." He set down his head on her chest, his arms wrapping around her waist without realizing. She moved them both into a position where they could lay down and be comfortable. She couldn't help but notice that their bodies seemed to fit perfectly together. Like they were meant to be together.

She gently ran her fingers through Gorou's hair, listening to his breathing as it eventually settled. She pulled his body closer, enjoying it's warmth. It was adorable how he clung onto her, even in his sleep. She wondered if he felt the same way she did about him.

'its a nice thought' She thought to herself as she smiled. Then she closed her eyes and  gently squeezed the general next to her, slipping into a deep sleep.

🥀 HEY so I know this story is kinda badly paced so far (At leats I think so) and I just wanted to say it's going to get better later.
