𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 busy day at the well renowned cafe 'Sweet hints!' People would travel far and wide just to get a taste of this cute little cafe's cinnamon rolls and delicious lattes. It was an tourist attraction for sure. Employee's made a lot of money because of this so that's why Childe decided to get a job there.
That..and now to see his new cafe crush.
He knew that you visited the cafe everyday. You would order the same thing every time. A jasmine tea with extra sugar and a chocolate croissant. You would come with friends or by yourself or...with your boyfriend.
At least that's what Childe thinks he is but he'll pray to the archons that's he's wrong.
Everyday he would take your order and instantly have it sent to the kitchen to be made. Then, he'd put a sweet little note on your drink. It would range from a joke or a simple 'have a good day!' It was his only way of trying to 'shoot his shot' without really interfering with your current 'situationship.'
"Are you really still writing tiny notes on that girl's coffee?" Childe's co worker, Scaramouche asked him with a judging look. Childe corrected him, saying it's tea. Then, he just smiled and answered with a upbeat yes. Scara scoffed at his reply.
"How about you just grow a pair and ask her out already?"
Childe rolled his eyes. "You know I can't do that. She's obviously in a 'relationship' with that guy she comes with."
"Oh so you're going for someone who's already taken? Wow, I didn't realize that your were a home wrecker." The co worker snickered.
Childe huffed and kicked Scara in his ankle, making him stumble a little.
"It's not like that! He's obviously not a good match for her. He's rude and super controlling!" The ginger retorted.
"Ok jeez, don't take your stupid little crush problems out on me." Scara complained.
"Don't you have a job to do?" Childe replied. The short boy scoffed again and said whatever before walking off to continue his work. Childe went back to writing the note and putting it on your tea. He then gathered everything else you ordered and called out your name so you could collect your treats.
"Here you go ma'am, have a great day!" He gave you a bright smile.
