"No... I don't understand."

Rose was having a hard time with the information she had been given.

Her visions had shown her nothing of a blonde haired girl their age with powers just like them. When Josh had relayed the information for what he had recently seen, it really messed with her head.

"How could this be possible?" She thought to herself.

Her visions had shown her a glimpse of Tabby previously, but nothing of another super-powered girl. What was even more strange to her, was the idea that she had come in contact with the shimmer man, and was more than likely at odds with him. Was she friend, or was she foe?

"Rose?" Josh spoke to break her out of her loud thoughts.

"Yeah, sorry, I'm just really deep in thought about all this." She responded quickly as she rubbed her temples.

"Look, I know it is getting late and we probably should clear out of here before the morning grounds crew comes through. I know everything I said was a lot to take in, I'm sorry if it was a bit too much." Josh began to apologize, realizing that they had been in the cemetery for a few hours, and soon the sun would begin to rise.

"It's fine, really." Rose said to him.

Rose was looking at the ground while heavily doubting herself. Why couldn't she master her visions? She spent most of her days trying to see things; outcomes, revelations...even Emily. The power still seemed to have a hold on her, not the other way around. She finally sighed a long breathe before looking up at Josh, who was offering a hand up off of the cold ground.

She reached up and took his hand as they began to walk slowly through the graveyard, to eventually exit through the front entrance.

"Have you talked to Shane yet?" Rose looked over at him.

"No." Josh said sharply.

Rose took this as a sign to back off that subject. Besides some small talk, the two remained mostly silent as they progressed through the gloomy graveyard. Eventually they reached the exit and departed from one another. The two went off in separate directions, heading back to sleep for what was left of the night/early morning.

The final week of the school year:

Josh was as bored as ever in his chemistry class. He was hunched over, on his arms on the desk he was seated in. The teacher was going over final reviews for their upcoming end of the year tests. Josh's eyes shifted over to stare out the window. He watched as birds flew by, and the light wind rustled the trees in the schools courtyard. Lately, his thoughts continued to drift towards Emily. He could still hear her screams at night in his nightmares. He sighed as he recalled the last time he ever saw her. The night he kissed Tabby, and saw Emily in the doorway of the house, before swiftly turning and walking away, forever.

Josh shuddered at the thought of her being out of his life forever, especially on the terms they ended up on. Did she hate him? He may never know, and that hurt him deeply. Josh sighed once more as he turned his gaze back towards the whiteboard at the front of the class.

"Will this day ever end?" He thought to himself.

All of a sudden the door to the room slammed open. The entire class perked up and stared at the doorway. Cole had busted into the room and was staring in Josh's direction. Josh shot to his feet and was broken out of his lucid state, looking at Cole with a startled look, this couldn't be good.

"Josh. Me. You. Go now!" Cole said with anxiety and slight excitement.

"Cole..." Josh began to say with his hands out.
