Seriously?

Ariel's day started the same way every day started. She woke up took a shower then made some coffee. She decided to take a walk. She had just recently moved into this city so she didn't really know where everything was yet. To fix that she walked as far as she could every day to find new places. She didn't originally want to live in the city she wanted to find a place out in the country or in the woods. Ever since she was a kid she loved exploring and finding new places. Even if she got lost, she always managed to find her way back, because she keeps a cool head under pressure. This was a useful skill to have, indeed, but no one really noticed it. In fact, no one really noticed Ariel at all. That was fine by her. She enjoyed keeping to herself anyway.

The vampiric woman shut the door to her house, contemplating where to walk to. She noted the woods nearby, and decided that it would be the area she explored today. Ariel entered the density of foliage, not knowing or caring where she was going.

An hour has passed when Ariel picked up the scent. It was repulsive. She scrunched up her nose and uttered a singe word, "Demons."

They disgusted her, along with nearly every other vampire on the planet. In this world, they were mortal enemies, vampires and demons.

They were messy and obnoxious, a vampire would tell you if you asked about a demon. However, if you asked a demon about a vampire, they would say that they were creepy and unsettling, even to them. They both despised the opposite kind greatly.

"Tch..." Ariel turned on her heel to walk back, but she could also sense a vampire in the vicinity.

'Maybe they'll need back up if this demon decides to make a move,' Ariel thought, then made her way towards her senses. She was surprised to realize that the demon and the vampire were seemingly in the same place. Picking up her pace, she stumbled across an old looking cottage, and inhaling deeply, she came to the conclusion that this is where the vampire was.

Along with the demon.

Nevertheless, she felt an overwhelming need to see if her fellow vampire was okay. Swallowing any doubt, she entered.

Only to be tackled.

By a human.

You're kidding me.

What does this human think he's doing? Ariel thought to herself. She didn't fight the human because she was curious as to what was going on.

Suddenly the human injected something into Ariel's arm and she passed out.

She woke up an hour later to a smell that really ticked her off. Demon. She thought to herself. She looked around and saw a demon sitting in the far corner of the room she was in. She could smell his blood and realized that he was injured. Ariel didn't care in the least; she hated demons so she was hoping that he was dead. Ariel tried to stand up but just fell back down.

Damn, what did that human so to me? Ariel thought.

She managed to sit herself up against a wall. She knew she couldn't move at the moment so she figured that she would just sit and wait till she could move again. Since she couldn't move she decided to stare at the demon. He was pretty good looking for a demon. His short black hair was slightly covering his eyes the way he was sitting. He was bleeding from a few injurys so his clothes were covered in blood. Some of the blood smells different. He must have tried to fight. Ariel figured. She looked around the room trying to find an escape route for when she could move again. Suddenly the demon started coughing. The sudden sound made Ariel jump.

Ariel growled under her breath annoyed that the demon was alive , "dang, I was hoping you were dead." She said.

The demon looked at her, "I thought I smelled something nasty," he said rolling his beautiful scarlet eyes. He looked at her again then tried to stand up. Ariel just watched him still unable to move. He fell back down because of an injury on his leg. Ariel sighed to herself relieved. Good thing he couldn't stand up. If he would try to attack me now I wouldn't stand a chance. She thought. The demon looked at her.
