Temporary truce.

"Ok so let me get this straight.... you want me to try and flirt with the human so you can find a way to get us out of here?" Ariel asked not liking the plan so far.

"Yes then when he opens the door we can get out." Kyo explained feeling proud of himself.

"That is the stupidest plan I have ever heard. Why don't we just use your strength to break the door then find a way out fighting anyone who gets in our way?" Ariel said.

"Your violent." Kyo said.

"How is that violent?" Ariel asked.

"Your gonna kill anyone who gets in our way. That's violent." Kyo said.

"I never said to kill anyone who gets in our way, I said to fight anyone who gets in our way. There is a difference. I only kill stupid demons." Ariel explained annoyed by the fact that she had to work with a demon.

Ariel finally managed to move and stood up. She was a little wobbly at first but she walked to the door.

"Come on Kyo we gotta go." Ariel said looking back at him.

Kyo tried to stand up but fell back down.

"Are you seriously still to weak from the serum stuff that they injected us with?" Ariel asked.

"No I'm not still weak from the serum. I'm injured stupid." Kyo answered.

"Don't call me stupid." Ariel said walking over to Kyo. She knelt down next to him and looked at his injuries.

Kyo looked at how Ariel was looking at the injuries all over him and smirked,"are you checking me out?" He taunted.

Ariel smacked him in the back of the head,"I don't care if you're injured I will still hit you." Ariel said. Kyo rubbed the back of her head. Ariel looked at. She had hit him harder than she meant to but she didn't care. "Next time don't joke with me." Ariel said coldly.

"Well I'm sorry for trying to lighten the mood." Kyo said. Ariel glared at him.

"Another thing, we could try to act like the serum is still in us if we need to buy some more time," Kyo spoke as Ariel placed her palm on one of Kyo's wounds, flinching at the touch.

"An hour is all I need," Ariel deadpanned, focusing on her work.

'I can't believe I'm doing this.'

The human came back with his clipboard.

"The demon seems in better shape, but the vampire looks more drained than before," he spoke as he wrote again.

'It's now or never...'

Kyo glanced over to Ariel and nodded, and her eyes flashed a different color. It looked like a dark shade of purple from where he was sitting.

"Mister. I still feel terribly ill. Be a dear and get me some water," She spoke softly.

"You're fine," the man grumbled, but once he made eye contact with Ariel, his whole demeanor seemed to change, "oh.. yes, of course, anything for you.." he turned and walked away.

"Come on!" Ariel shot up, "We don't have much time."

"Dude, I would TOTALLY abuse that power of yours," Kyo chuckled, using his newly regained strength to break the lock and open the door.

"That's why I have the power and you do not," Ariel said, leading him, "Wait, I smelled a vampire here earlier. Where is it?"

"That guy somehow replicated the smell and set it out to lure us. That's how he caught me. I was hoping to hunt."

"Tch. This guy is nuts. What's his deal?"

"Something about research or something," Kyo whispered, not wanting to alert their kidnapper.

"Quick, there is the exit. We run in opposite directions as fast as we can, okay? GO!" Ariel ordered. After that they both started running in opposite directions. Ariel continued running until she got outside. Even after she got outside she didn't stop running. Ariel wanted to get as far away from that place as possible. She figured she would get some of her vampire friends to help her go back and destroy the place. That human will regret messing with me. Ariel thought as she made her way home. When she finally made it home she went straight to her room and plopped down on her bed. Almost as soon as she laid down she fell asleep.

The next chapter will follow kyo. It might be a shorter chapter.
