Prologue - NEW BEGINNINGS
Many people say love is a beautiful thing , that it conquers all. Every girl hope to find her prince charming , well that is every girl except for me . In my opinion love can jump off a cliff . Love has failed me all my life . Every person in my life that was supposed to love and care for me has done the opposite so any believe of true love has been removed from my mind. For now I only have one mission and it's to get away from my stepfather ,he has been abusing physically, verbally and sexually since the passing of my mother . Today is my 18th birthday and I plan to escape while he sleeps , I have been saving ,only from working at a local cafe in my town since I was 15 ,it should be enough to get out of this place and start my life at least . I threw my back out of the window and climbed out unto the tree . I tried my best to be quiet so I wouldn't wake him up. When I made it down I gave the house of my nightmares one last glance before walking to find a cab . I got a taxi and headed straight for the airport , telling anyone at the cafe goodbye wasn't a good idea since he would look for me there , so I didn't . Before I know it we have arrived at the airport , I pay the taxi and walk up to the front desk ," a one way ticket to Italy please ."
I am ready to start my new beginning .
