My iPhone landed with a loud thump on the floor of my bedroom after I picked it up and chucked it across my room. Monday. I wrapped my pillow around my head and let out a loud groan. Of course, the alarm was still going off, so eventually I had to get up and turn it off. 6:00 am. Great.

Trudging down the stairs with half of my blankets still wrapped tightly around me, my mom greeted me way too cheerfully for my taste.

"Ready for your first day as an upperclassman?" she said with a smile.

"Sure," I muttered, completely hating the fact that I had to spend yet another year of my life with a bunch of idiots.

After a bowl of cereal and yogurt, I got on my first day of school clothes. Leather jacket, low cut tank top to show off my assets, skinny jeans to show off another asset, gold chain necklace, and boots. Then I fluffed up my long blonde hair, and put on my dark eye makeup around my grey-blue eyes and applied red lipstick. Off to school.

I pulled up my black pickup truck into the Watercress High School parking lot, and on my way to my assigned parking space, a small red car backed out only a few feet in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and held the horn for a good few seconds.

A younger girl's head peeked out of the driver's side window and she worriedly shouted "Sorry!" back to me.

"Fucking sophomores," I muttered to myself, "isn't having a functioning brain one of the requirements for a license?"

Stepping into the building for the first time this year, I knew exactly where to meet my friends. Junior benches. Finally.

Elena was at her first school newspaper meeting of the year, so my other six friends were waiting for me.

The first one I saw was Abigail, as she leapt up and ran across the hallway to hug me, exclaiming "WE'RE THE BIG KIDS NOW!"

I chuckled and walked with her through the sea of 11th graders to where the other five were waiting.

Abigail's twin sister, Bianca, stood up and gave me a hug next.

"How was marching band this summer?" I asked, figuring it would be proper to ask.

"Great!" she exclaimed, "I love leading the clarinets!"

Next was Rowan and Mia, who both jumped up and wrapped me in a tight bear hug. They gave me a few details of their summer theatre production (Mia got the lead, per usual,) and then Luana stepped up and joined the group hug.

After the initial greeting, we all sat down at two benches facing each other.

"So how was your summer, Orion?" Abigail asked me.

"Pretty good," I replied, not really paying attention to the conversation, "I had my fair share of fun."

"How many times did you have sex?" Luana asked, knowing me and knowing it would've came up at one point or another.

"How many times or how many people?" I replied with a smirk.

Luana rolled her eyes and Rowan smiled and shook her head, while Abigail exclaimed "Oh my god! Orion!"

"I don't get it?" Bianca stated.

"Me neither." Mia added.

"I don't think you want to know," I told them.

"How many times, I mean," Luana said again.

I sat there for a few seconds, mentally counting, then finally stating, "Uhh, at least 15, maybe more. A couple of those were some good group times in frat houses. That's the thing about frat boys, the lack of intelligence and the overdose of alcohol seems to have a growth effect on their junk."
