The Incubus of Yokai Academy

Chapter 4

Two girls approached the lunch table , one was relatively small and the other was around the same height as Moka , the two sat down as the shorter girl noticed me first " Oh are you the new guy?"

"Yeah I am "

She smiled " Then welcome to Yokai high , Im Yukari and this is Ruby "

"Nice to meet you both , Im Kuran "

The conversation at the table was mildly interesting with a few boring topics popping up.  Yukari smirked " So Kuran , if you were to date anyone at this table , who would it be ?" , she suspiciously side eyed Ruby while asking this question .

I sat back and crossed my arms in thought " mm I donno "

"Kuran , who would you date here if you had chemistry with them?"

"Well thats not very fair since I dont know you guys that well enough but going off the information I have right now ....Ruby or Kurumu . "

Ruby blushed very deeply as Kurumu jumped out her chair in shock " what?!"

" why are you getting mad ? Its a hypothetical question " I asked Kurumu.  Yukari seemed like she enjoyed Kurumu freak out so she pushed the matter more " okay...why those two ?"

" well I've only just met Ruby but she seems like a really great girl , sort of shy but I can tell she's also strong " I looked at Kurumu with a teasing smirk " Kurumu gets mad at me very easily when I tease her which I kinda enjoy , she's hiding her true personality behind a fake Succubus faćade ...and theres the whole race thing too "

Moka frowned " race thing ?"

I took a sip of my water before elaborating " Incubi and Succubi are immune to one another's magical influence,  if I were to date a Succubi,  the chances of my magic influencing her feelings towards me are 0 to none , it'll be a more realistic relationship . If I dated someone who isnt immune to my magic , I would question if what they feel are the magical effects or real feelings towards me "

Tsuke's eyes widened " that can happen...you can use your magic on someone without knowing ?"

" yeah I guess ...if you get lost in the moment it could happen to anyone or anything.  The fact that our magic influences feeling just makes relationships more difficult "

Moka then asked " and you're parents ? Are they both a Succubus and Incubus?"

"Yes ...since I could remember my parents always warned me about how dangerous our magic can be for real love relationships "

Kurumu sat down with a huff " well Im not that interested so go find another Succubus "

Yukari smirked " not 'that' interested? So you are partially?"

Kurumu glared at the girl " I never said I was interested !"

I caught on to Yukari's teasing and added to it " why are you getting so riled up ? Your face is blood red !"

Kurumu snatched her food and marched out of the cafeteria without a word , Yukari and I looked at one another before laughing at our victory and high fiving .

After lunch , classing continued as normal but Kurumu would glare my way if she spotted me in the corridors.  During the last months she would ignore me as though my answer duing lunch had scared her off . On the last day of the month , during the last lesson of the day , our educator looked at a form of papers on his desk , like the final announcements of the day . " dont forget , tomorrow is parental visitation day a.k.a parents day.  When your parents arrive tomorrow please make sure they know where the facilities are and information desks "

I heard Kurumu ask Tskune " are your parents coming?" , Tskune awkwardly shifted "uh...i dont know "

I rolled my eyes at the pathetic attempt to avoid the question, he is human , mostly likely has human parents,  of course they aren't coming . They probably don't even know what sort of school they shipped their son off too , and would probably freak if they knew about monsters . I turned around in my chair to face Tskune who was squriming as the questions kept piling on and decided to help the poor guy out .

"Tskune,  didn't your parents mention that they'll be working tomorrow?"

Tskune smiled at me " yes...yes! They did !"

Moka pouted " and they couldnt get the day off to come see you?"

" both his parents are corporation managers , they'll have to much to do and I highly doubt they can get time off now at the start of the month where business is usually the most crazy for orders "

Kurumu frowned and finally spoke to me after ignoring me for so long " how do you know that ?"

"Tskune and I share the same dorm , infact we just because roommates yesterday . He told me all this " I looked at Tskune and gave a subtle wink , Tskune smiled gratefully " Kuran's right.. I totally forgot about that ..."

Kurumu eye'd me suspiciously as Moka sunk in her chair disappointed hoping to meet Tskune's parents.  I looked at Kurumu whobwas still eyeing me , I raised my eyebrow at her " what ?" 

Kurumu just crossed her arms " meet me outside after class ,  we need to talk " , I shurgged "uh...okay "
