Chapter 3

__Y/n's pov__

  Last night was a tragedy, we lost Scott, Chyler and Jesse as a group of zombies attacked out camp and we weren't able to kill because more and more were coming so the only way to survive was to get in the cars and leave. And now here we are in the middle of nowhere, in my car were me, Katie, Melissa and Elizabeth and in the other car were Chris E and Chris H and Tom. In the car there was silence, no-one speaks.
As I was driving I saw a cabin deep in the woods, so I motioned to Chris E and stopped just beyond the house. "We need to go check if it's safe, it'll do for now to keep us safe " I said, then Chris H and Tom went to check and Chris E and Elizabeth and I waited to start moving in our things.

  "All clear we can stay" Chris H said and then we start getting settled for now. After we got everything comfortable, I took my gun and went to check the area but also to be a little alone.

  __Katie's pov__

  "You should go and talk to her." Chris E said to me as i was staring at Y/n as she was leaving to check the area "you know, she doesn't express her feelings easily and doesn't open up easily in front of others, but she was different with you, she was caring and protective which is rare for Y/n, she only acts like that for someone she loves" he said after I gave him a confused look. "I don't think she will talk to me and neither do I think that she loves me" I say, "do you love her?" He asked " excuse me ? "I look at him and he starts laughing, "it's okay you don't have to answer, it's visible in your eyes, that you are in love" he says and i turn to the way so he can't see me blushing. "Go, she needs someone right now to talk" he said and i go to the way she was walking.

  After a minute I saw her sitting in front of a small lake with her gun beside her. I went and sat next to her but she was completely zoned out and didn't notice me. "What's going on in your mind?"

  __Y/n's pov__

  As I was walking in the forest I noticed a small lake and went to sat there so I could clear my mind of what happened last night.

  //Flashback//

  I grabbed my gun and carefully held Katie behind me as we were getting out of my tent to see what the noise was. When we got outside we saw everyone trying to fight a group of zombies that attacked our camp. Then I hear Katie screaming behind and I turn to see what's happening, and i saw a zombie trying to attack her but before it was going to touch her I shot it. "Katie look at me, you go and get in the car I will tell the others to go there ok?" I told her trying to stop her from freaking out "o...ok" she says "take this in case something happens" u gave her my knife and she leaves to go to the car.

  "Chris take the others and get in the cars .... we can't stop them more and more are coming here" I shouted at my brother.
  When I turn to look for the others I saw my brother Scott laying on the ground full of blood, then I started running towards him. When I got to him I knelt down and said "Scott come on buddy wake up, we need to leave wake up" i try to check his pulse but i got nothing then i hear Chris screaming to me "Y/n get in the car , everyone is inside we need to leave".
  I got up and started running towards the cars but a zombie grabbed my leg and I fell on the ground.As the zombie went to bite me someone shot it. "Run, I'll keep them busy for a while until you leave" Jesse said "what about you?" I ask "i will find a way, you leave now!" I look at him one last time and run and get in the car.

  //End of flashback//

  "What's going on in your mind?" I heard Katie asking me and it was then I noticed she was here. " Nothing , it's nothing" i say " come on don't be stubborn, you know you can talk to me " " it's just everything that happened last night " "you it's not your fault, you try to save everyone but this can happen every time " she said " i know but I'm SCARED ..... I'm scared that i will lose everyone , I'm scared i will lose ..y..you"i say " W.. what?" She asked shocked of my words and i turn to look at her emerald eyes "I'm scared i will lose you ..... you know, from the first time i laid my eyes on you i like you" i started to grumble but i was cut off by a pair of soft lips on mine. "I like you too but I was too scared to tell you" she said "Really?" "Yes, I thought you didn't like me" "I would be an idiot if I didn't"

  __No one's pov__

  Y/n's mouth opened to speak again, but Katie silenced her by putting her finger to her lips. "Shhhh, just kiss me."
