as I laid on one of the beds of a medical tent, I couldn't get the thought of Shicksal's purpose here out of my head. the crater, the crystals, the Honkai, they all pointed to Shicksal's intervention in the area. everything was just too unnatural to be called an accident or a simple occurrence

Ms.Rita's presence here also raised red flags as she wouldn't have been sent here if the problem was troublesome or big. then there was the question of why they had to pull students into the fray, they could've requested Me to come under the notion of special request or a direct request for assistance

it made no sense to Me, why would they put so many in danger, why would they risk the local populous, what were they doing here, what was the goal that they were trying to achieve with all of this, it couldn't have been just some accident, it felt too fake, to staged for an accident and everything points to Shicksal as the source and Ms.Rita as the one with answers

speaking of the devil, I heard footsteps approach as the flap of the medical tent was pulled out of the way and in came Ms.Rita herself, wearing small smile on her face, clearly hiding things behind her mask of neutrality, things she didn't want Me knowing

Rita:I'm glad to see you alright

Kai:if you can call this "alright"

Rita:perhaps if you didn't hold yourself back as much, you wouldn't have had to take such a beating

Kai:and what, disappoint your results

she was silent for a second, no doubt considering her next words carefully as I caught her off guards

Rita:now whatever could that mean

Kai:you know exactly what that means

Rita:perhaps you could elaborate on that-

Kai:let's face the facts here Ms.Rita, Shicksal had involvement here that YOU don't want Me knowing about. you also requested St.Freya to bring it's student here, A HIGH INTENSITY combat zone

Rita:you know just as well as I that experience is the best teacher Kai

Kai:your right, but it only really applies if they get to live afterwards, doesn't it

Kai:this place wasn't for them, in fact, they weren't meant to be here, were they. you needed Me, you needed something from Me and you couldn't afford to be suspicious about it, so in order to achieve that end, you brought untrained fighters to a dangerous combat zone

Kai:and to add to that, you lied. the recon never said anything about Emperor Class being here but you knew, didn't you, and you used those Emperor Class to fish for that thing you wanted from Me

Kai:and to top it all off, you were ordered to set these event in motion, weren't you. if you really wanted stuff like this hidden, it's possible for you to set it up in a way that I'd never suspect a thing, but HQ seems to want Me to know but YOU don't, I wonder, trying to save Shicksal's face... or special orders perhaps

she was silent, he expression never changed but she was silent. it didn't seem like she had a retort to accusations, which tell Me that a good part of those accusations hold some truth as I looked at her
