Dust was furious. He was told during the last week of school that he had to attend some stupid summer school and that completely fucked everything up. All of his plans with the guys ruined. The last week of school was supposed to be fun, getting to do cool activities to celebrate the end of the school year. All he could think about was summer camp. He'd rather do stupid summer school, because at least he could go home and play Call of Duty with his friends, or blow up something in Minecraft after someone spent 12 hours building a mansion. He doubted he'd even get to see a damn computer while he was there.

Dust was miserable. He had to pack up Friday night right after school so he could have the weekend to himself. Came Monday, he had to get in the car, drive two hours, and got dropped off in the middle of the woods in a remote part of a town he's never been in. His parents, specifically his mother, was saying how it would do him good to be away from the electronics for the summer. They had said goodbye, left him with his suitcase at the front of the camp entrance, and left. It was only 10 am.

Looking up, Dust saw the wooden sign that read 'Starbound Camp', glanced to a small sign to the side of the grand wooden entrance carved of wood, which listed the owners of the camp and other garbage he didn't care about, and scoffed before stepping past the barrier. Near instantly he was stopped by a camp counselor, a human, none the less, who asked he hand over his phone and the pair of headphones he was wearing. He scowled, stepping back and baring his teeth in a snarl as he exclaimed he wasn't giving over his phone (how he still had service to be playing music right now was beyond him). Why was this human here? He thought this was a monster-owned camp. As he was about to walk past the human, they simply swiped his phone from his hand, then held out their hand for the headphones. "C'mon kid, don't make this difficult. It's the rules, unless your the boss' boy." Oh, great. That meant that the owner's probably rich kid was going to be running around too, and wasn't that just perfect? He had to lose his summer while the spoiled rich boy got to go around and do whatever because his daddy owned the place. He didn't even know the kid and he wanted to beat his face in.

With another sneer, Dust practically threw his headphones at the counselor, who stuck his phone and headphones into a small plastic bin. "You're a monster.. can't be Nightmare, Dream.. Killer? No, he's already here.." The counselor, Luna, a 'she/her' as her name tag said under her name, frowns, looking to him. "Dust? Is that your name?" With an annoyed sigh, he looked at the black-haired girl and nodded stiffly. "Yep." She hums, the clipboard in her hands shaking lightly as she scribbled something down, only to produce a sticker with 'Dust B-4' and slaps it onto the container with his phone in it. "You're in monster cabin B, and your bed is 4. You're roommate is Blue, another skeleton monster. The monster cabins are the ones by the lake. Lunch is from 12 to 1:30. Today's just about moving in and getting settled." Dust mutters a soft 'whatever' before starting to trudge along the pathway.

Dust walked, dragging his scratched up suitcase along the paved little walkway as he went, cursing as that bad wheel hits a rock and causes it to rock back and forth with messed up balance. He held it still, only to let out a low growl as he heard laughter from behind him. Turning quickly on his heel, he came face to face with a filthy human boy, a big pimple right on his nose and cheek. "Looks like we got some fresh new meat to mess with!" He sneers, practically spitting in Dust's face, who recoils in disgust. "Fuck off, ugly." Dust retorts before turning and starting to trudge up the small steps of the cabin. "Oh, you're a feisty little thing, aren'tcha?" No one calls him little. Dust turned back on the human so quick that the other two boys with him didn't get to react as Dust raised a hand, a sharp bone appearing in his clenched fist. "What did you just call me?!"

There was a soft blue light before the human was floating in the air, yelping and screaming. "Oh stop bothering the new kids, Thomas. I'm sure he doesn't want to be here as much as you." A soft, peppy voice says, only to have a very blue-clad skeleton pop into Dust's view. This skeleton was shorter than him and had way too much blue on his clothing, ranging from a blue sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath, blue Jean pants, black boots and a blue bandana tied around his neck. "You must be Dust. C'mon, I show you our beds." He smiles, reaching up and taking Dust's arm, the one still wielding a bone, grabbing his upper arm to make him follow. Dust glances back at Thomas and his buddies, not liking how they were looking at him.

Dust didn't like this one bit, not the humans, not the camp, not the idea of him being bullied here as well, and most definitely didn't want to meet the owner's kid. He was kinda okay with Blue however, though he'd never admit it aloud to him. Having someone look out for him that was familiar with the place was better than being alone. He mostly stayed in his bed until lunch, where he followed Blue to the mess hall. He was surprised by how many skeleton monsters he saw, as well as a few cat ones, dog monsters, plenty of humans, and then the counselors seemed to mix half and half.

Just make it through lunch. That's all he had to do for now. Just make it through lunch.
