Our plantation drive with those college students went well today. We went to several parks and planted plants there, hoping for a good and fresh future ahead.
After completing the tasks, now i am on my way home i got late today too. It's 6:30 PM. The sky is pink today, the sun is almost setting and i am watching it with my calm eyes.
There is only one day left for the Jeon Company's charitable programme. I hope we get this opportunity to serve people and children.
Sitting there for few minutes i went back to my home and did all the regular activities ,after having dinner. I got a call from mica , telling me that every preparation has been done and we are almost ready for our next step. I thanked her and hung up the call.
Mica is my partner in NGO. She is an ambitious woman with a golden heart. She worked in corporate for 3 months then left as she wants to join any charitable organization to serve the people. She loves children, and almost 20 children are studying under her charity. She is not very talkative but her advice always helps in our projects and growth.
Monday morning🌞
I went to my office earlier than usually because today is big day. Mr. Choi told me everything regarding our ideas and plans for Jeon company's charitable program. Mica also prepared a ppt in case we have to present ourselves digitally. I arranged the goods and other supplies we are going to provide people in need and for children i brought some toys and Stationaries.
At 8: 35 AM , we went to Jeon company because program was going to start at 9 AM. It's better to reach early then to get late and make our impression bad at authority.
Staff of company welcomed us with genuine smile. We were told to wait in the waiting room till program starts. There were many other NGOs and their people were sitting. I know few of them , i greeted them and i took my seat waiting for further notice. After some time a woman in pencil skirt and white shirt came and told us to go 3rd floor auditorium since program is going to start in 10 minutes.
After reaching 3rd floor we went inside and there was a reserved table for our NGO with a name plate on it. There was similar 7 tables with different NGOS names. We thanked the lady by bowing her for guiding us to our table. She smiled went to look after other guest after telling us to call her if we need any thing.
10 mins later, management people from the company started to gather and settle down on their respective seats and host on the podium welcomed everyone.
One by one every NGO show their idea regarding the projects and they were so good. I was feeling great about how many people wants to serve others who are in need. I feel proud on them. We represent ourself and it went according to our plan. Hope company loved our proposal how to serve and company's money also can be used for serving people in need .
Program was ended with speech from company CEO Mr. Jeon Jingsoo. He said" It was great having all of you here in this divine deed initiated by our company. Your idea for serving people was amazing please keep on doing these great deeds, we all need people amd organization in our society like you all. But we can only select 4 NGOs this time. Please don't feel dishearted may be next time you are the one. Selected one will get email till tomorrow evening after discussion is done. Thankyou for your precious time . It was great having you all here. "
We were happy we presented ourself well and good. Not caring about results because no matter if it was us or them, people are getting help that what means most to us. We drive back to our office and started working on other upcoming projects. Mr. Choi took a half day because of his health issue so i have to stay here till late.
It was 8 pm at night, it was my biggest mistake for not taking my bike today to office. People are least to shown in passage may be because of mild coldness in weather. I was walking as fast as i can, little bit terrified because of powercut. It was really dark.
Suddenly i heard some footstep, when i turn around i found no one. I started walking more fast and search for phone in my bag hurriedly. Again i heard footstep this time little closer. I didn't choose to turn and keep walking and searching but it was nowhere to be found, "shit! I think i forget in the office" I mumbled to myself. As i was about to take turn opposite to alley someone grab my aram and pushed me in alley, i stumbled and averted my eye toward the person who was standing in all black outfit with a cap and mask on his face. He was grabbing a big knife. He took steps towards me, i backed away in anticipation. He asked me to hand him my bag but i denied.
He tried to snatch but i kicked him. But he was way more stronger he grabbed my waist and pushed me in alley wall, i tried to shout but he put his palm on my mouth. A muffled groan left from my mouth. My eyes got teary because of his pressure on my back and jaw. He was about to put his knife on my neck suddenly someone grabbed him and pulled him back. Till this time i fell on the cold floor and started crying.
That man punched that robber hard and continuously punched him untill he kicked him and ran away. He tried to follow him but when he saw my vulnerable state he kneel down in front of me amd asked" Are you hurt anywhere? Should we go hospital? " I was sobbing this was my first encounter with such incident. I didn't reply and continuously sobbed. He held my wrist and said" Come lets go to the hospital, where is your family? You want me to call them? " I said " No my family is in Daegu, thankyou for your help i am fine, i will go now"
It was dark there i can't see his face but due to little bit of light from a house i saw a heart tattoo on his right hand. I sat there for few minutes he also sat there not leaving me alone. After calming my self down. I stood up , he too stood up and asked " Are you sure you can go alone? " I nodded and said " Yes thankyou so much" May be he smiled with a humm and told me to go safe. I left from there but he stood there until I disappeared from his eyes.
There are many good people and bad people in society. I encountered with both today.
It was a trauma like situation for myself until i slept. It took me 2 hours to drift in sleep as that moment was continuously playing in my mind. I thanked God and that man in my mind. I didn't tell my parents about it since it can make them worry , i don't want that to happen. Slowly slowly i drift into my sleep trying to forgot what happened there.
