I flinched at the curse that slipped
out of his mouth as she noticed his traits
moulding into a state of panic caused by
the sudden knock. He dislodged his hand off the wall and his body jerked back; the heat of his closeness and the lethality of his stare leaving me for a moment
My gaze fell on the harsh movement of his teeth sinking into his lower lip, which i noticed, was slightly battered like he had been hurt hard.
Impatient fingers tapped on the door again with more force this time and the sound
Sami-resounded in the room.
Me-Could this night get any more... eventful?
Sami mentally groaned, bringing his vision back to me
Sami- go!!
I was just looking at him with out a blink
Sami- hello?rush!! Here?
Me- o ha ? Yes ? Wait what?
Sami - the door!!
Me - oh yeah the door !! WAIT THE DOOR? OH SHIT WHAT IF ITS THOSE TOXIC AUNTIES!!!!! THEY SHOULD NOT SEE US TOGETHER !!! REUMORES THING YOU KNOW!!!!!!!
Sami - cool down compose your self and go open the door!! (In a icy voice ) and who ever is there don't let them feel there is another person in this room and make them leave quickly
Me- what are you saying how can I do that ?
Sami - (groaning in pain) i don't care how you do it just do it!!
I gathered my scattered wits and
decided to oblige because i didn't know
what else to do. Whoever the person was at the door, it was in my best interest to make them leave. I slowly nodded my head, earning space to breathe from him as he Took a step back."Ill just.." he trailed, looking around the
room and then pointing at the backside of a large wooden cupboard, "hide there."He said me to go and traipsed to
the spot while i took a deep breath,
steadying myself. Tucking up my dress heavy steps carried me towards the door; heart uttering desperate
prayers to Allah to get her out of this mess.A sheen of sweat broke on her forehead
as her shaky hand turned the door handle with her breath stuck in her throat and
opening it, she tensely peeked out."Rush "
I breathed annoyed at the sight
of two wildly overdressed, middle-aged
women staring back at me. The two
aunties standing before me were my far
relatives i had only met twice in my life."Assalam o alikum." I smiled,
"Walakum assalam "
1st aunty -Hum tumhe dekne aaye the
2nd aunty- what are you doing here ? And why is the door locked ??
I cleared my throat, "Uh... I-I don't
know, I didn't lock it."
They both made a twisted face before the
other took a step forward, attempting to
enter inside but I quickly blocked her
path with frame standing in between,Myhand gripping the door handle tightly.
"Aap ne d-dekh liya na mjhe? Now you can go," i said,
"At least let us come inside and sit with
you for a while!" Auntie number two
exclaimed,
looking at my incredulously.Me- "You can't sit with me."
Aunty - "Aray leken-"
Me- "]ust leave, please. Go!"
I almost yelled but i didn't care..
The two women raked her with
disparaging eyes, rightfully offended by my blatant display of disrespect they turned around and rewarding me with curt badtameez ladki !!As if I even care lol ..
I singed closing my eyes for a sec and closed my eyes i turned around as my eyes clashed with him again
Sami- lock the door
( with a icy voice promoting her to immediately comply)
I was worried i thought you would pass out before opening the door but that was a quit nice act tho!!Rush - he he thnx !!
Sami-stop showing your teeth nothing so funny!!
Rush - looks like some wants to die soon
Sami - "Yeah well, that's very clos to happing if I leave this wound unattended for any more time
" He took off his leather jacket, the movement inflaming the throbbing
pain and making him wheeze. He unfastened the first two buttons of his
jet-black shirt, revealing the ragged gash
underneath his left collarbone; the crimson liquid saturating his shirt.I grimaced at the unpleasant view;
A tingle of sympathy rising within me, He must've been in so much pain.
Sami -"Do you have a first aid kit?"
Me -"I don't live here." I deadpanned.
Sami -"There must be something here I can treat this bloody thing with?"
( he grunted)My eyes narrowed before her shoulders
sulked and a defeated sigh fled her lips. i think i should help him!!But i couldn't help it.
Not when he sat there with a tormented
expression on his face and looked at me
like that.
