Cream woke up feeling Comfortable. She looked over at the still sleeping fox and had a sudden rush of adrenaline. She kept still and the fox didn't seem to be waking up. After a few stressful minutes the fox seemed to be waking up. He took his head off her shoulder and his tails slowly came off her. He blinked his eyes and looked back at her. She felt paralyzed and couldn't move as he moved closer to her and sniffed her fur again. He suddenly began licking her cheek and buried his head back into her shoulder purring again. She felt the adrenaline fade away and he no longer seemed scary. He actually seemed kind of cute.. She raised her hand and pet the fur down the side of his head and he shifted closer and his tails covered her again. She grew a slight smile and blush at his friendliness. She gave into her sudden temptation and put her hand on his tail. He didn't seem to mind as brushed her hand along it feeling how fluffy it was. She didn't notice that he continued watching her movements. His gaze wandered to her ear and he felt a sudden urge. Cream flinched as she felt her ear stinging. The fox had playfully bit her ear and he let go as she turned and saw him. She held her ear for a few seconds until the sting went away and she turned back to the fox who seemed rather confused. She brushed some of the fur on his head and his ears shot up. He held up his hand and looked at it for a few moments before he copied her and brushed her ear. She smiled and blushed slightly more. He noticed she seemed to enjoy it and had an idea. He pulled her into a hug of sorts and his tails wrapped around her brushing against her ears and arms. She let out a few laughs as his Tails tickled her and hugged him back with her blush rapidly growing. One of his tails snuck up her arm and brushed up against her nose. She felt his other tail brushing up against her own cotton ball tail and blushed as the first tail brushed against her lips and then tickled her neck. Over a few minutes went by and he still seemed to be friendly. Now his tails where wrapped around her as he pet her ear. She leaned onto his shoulder and his hand left her back and brushed her tail. She closed her eyes and let him continue for a few more seconds and he started to examine her closely. After a few minutes he sat next to her and cuddled against her again. She opened her eyes and felt relaxed. The fox didn't cover them both with his tails and instead they where relaxed down in her lap. She reached down and brushed them causing him to slightly shift closer to her. She noticed that his shoes and gloves where certainly worn out and his watch seemed a bit more than broken. She noticed the sun starting to disappear behind more gray clouds indicating another rainstorm. *Wait... I should probably try to get back up to the town.. I won't be able to find my way there if it's raining.. * Her thoughts suddenly wavered as she looked back at the fox. *They wouldn't even allow him in.. Maybe I can convince them?.. Or I can find something to keep him covered so nobody knows..*
She hesitantly pet his head and spotted a conveniently placed ripped jacket on a low hanging branch of a nearby tree. He looked up at her. "Come on.. Follow me.." She said getting up. He quickly got up and stood next to her causing her to slightly smile. *I should really think of a name for him...* She suddenly thought. Her gaze wandered towards his tails and she had an idea. "Would you mind if I call you Tails?.." She asked politely. He responded with a hug and she smiled as his Tails both wrapped around her. *So he can understand me?.. * She wondered growing confused. She felt his hug loosen and she scratched his ear causing him to let her go as he tilted his head slightly.

Cream walked up to the village gate with Tails following rather close behind her. Nobody was standing guard at the gate which felt off. He followed close behind her as they walked through the gate. Cream chose to take him home since it was possibly the only place he might be able to hide. There were a few other villagers outside but mostly just vendors who where always selling stuff. Everyone else probably just stayed inside to avoid the rain. She managed to pass by most vendors without them calling her over to their jewelry or other things almost completely useless to her. She walked up to her house door and turned the handle partially expecting it to be locked. It opened easily and she hesitantly walked in with Tails following her. She closed the door behind Tails and quickly brought him up into her room. She locked her door and quickly closed the curtains on her window. She helped Tails take the jacket off and he seemed to have liked it because he was hesitant to take it off. She had him sit down on her bed and dug into her closet and grabbed a towel for Tails. The cold temperature of the house began to set in due to her wet fur and clothes but she handed it to Tails anyway. She thought for a few moments and grabbed a spare pair of clothes from her closet and another towel and began to leave the room before Tails stood up to follow her out. She noticed and set down the pile on the dresser by the door and led Tails over to sit back onto her bed as she wrapped the towel around him. "Just wait here a minute okay?.. I'll be back soon alright?.." He looked down at the ground and she wondered if she had upset him. Regardless she quickly grabbed the pile from on her dresser and left to the bathroom to change. *I hope that didn't sound mean.. *

She walked out of the bathroom and put her wet clothes in the laundry basket and walked back to her room quickly. She noticed her door was cracked open and hesitantly opened it fully. Vanilla sat on her bed and Tails had been leaning against her until he saw Cream back at the door. He got off the bed and ran over to her pulling her into a hug. She hugged him back still partially stunned and noticed that in the time she had been gone he had been dried off. Vanilla stood up and brushed off part of her dress before walking over. "S-Sorry.. I was going to tell you but I.." She trailed off realizing she didn't have any reason and sunk into Tails's shoulder. "It's alright dear.. If you can wait I can get him some new gloves tomorrow and if I'm lucky i can find him some new shoes." She said entirely dismissing the matter. She realized that his gloves had replaced with an old spare pair they had and his shoes had been swapped out for a worn out brown pair of hiking boots. She thought for a few moments and noticed he had kept his watch even though it was broken. She wondered about it for a few seconds and dismissed it. "Thanks Mother.." She said feeling bad. "Your Welcome Cream.. If you wouldn't mind I have to go start dinner.. I was expecting you to be back today but I didn't expect company.. Certainly not a... fox either.." She said before Walking past Cream and out of the room. Tails had already began purring by the time Cream felt her legs beginning to fall asleep.
