I ring the doorbell and wait for a few seconds until I hear footsteps getting closer and closer.

"What the heck?"Ayla asks as she gawks at me.

"I am soooo sorry Ayla I seriously didn't mean to forget but I didn't sleep a wink last night and all of a sudden I dosed off through most of the day which is NOT an excuse and I totally understand if you are mad..no furious with me because I would be t..." I get interrupted by Ayla's sudden fit of laughter.

"You seriously ran through that heavy rain just to give me a hard drive?" Ayla asks through giggles.

"Jogged not ran" I correct kind of relieved and amused at Ayla's response.

"Just shut up and get inside before you catch a cold" Ayla says after she finally stops her fit. She hands me a spare towel to use after I take a shower. I don't have to worry about spare clothes as she keeps some incase I stay over which is very frequently.
Ayla and I have been inseparable ever since we started school (just after preschool).
She is frankly my best friend, including Sam and Izzie that is.

The hot water feels so relaxing. I can't stop myself from looking back at that girl. Everything was pretty blurry but I could still kind of make out her general features. Her eyes especially. They were gorgeous, the most beautiful olive green eyes I've ever seen. Her dark hair was long and full of volume. And that's it. That's all I saw, part of me wishes to see more but I've never seen her before so the chances of a second encounter are very unlikely.

"Mhm who knows" I shrug off as I get out the shower.
