Open the doors for the Waynes!

“The Wayne family is back on the cover of 'The Gotham Magazine'! ”

A long sigh echoed through the darkened room that was lit only by the computer light and a lit lamp. The clock on the computer showed ten o'clock, while the stopwatch next to the forgotten coffee mug was still running past two hours and a few minutes that were blurred in his tired vision.

The 'click' of keyboard buttons was loud in that silent environment. “Trash” was the most selected command on the computer in the last one hour and forty minutes, the number of discards was already over 9, the troubled vision could only tell that it was in the two digits between 20 and 39.

- Mom - someone pushed the door breaking the silence of the dark room, the light soon illuminated the place and made the vision clear a little. — I came to bring your food — the calm smile ran across the writer's face, while the porsto was left in some half-empty space on the table, on top of some newspapers from years ago.

"Thanks, Jon," she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"What are you writing about?" He tried to peek.

"Nothing yet," she laughed without humor, the boy looked at her confused. — I'm out of ideas, I just can't write anything... I've started over twenty-seven times — he sighed, pressing the trash can button again.

"What did you want to be able to write about?" He pulled a chair over to his mother.

Louis grabbed some papers, post-it notes and newspaper clippings with old news. Leaving everything close to the boy while he took the plate to eat a little.

Jonathan blinked as he picked up one of the yellow sticky notes and two newspaper clippings, they looked like copies. The first clipping he read had the name 'Louis Lane' stamped on it as the journalist who wrote the news, it was a news that his mother published a week ago, the subject was the Waynes. In the second clipping, his father's name—Clark Kent—marked the headline where the subject was also the Waynes. The boy read his mother's note seeing the keywords and things crossed out on the small paper.

— It's not common that you don't know what to write — he commented, the woman smiled in a restrained way. "It's not like you to make news about it." You tend to pick up scoops on Wayne branches and that sort of thing, not to mention them being out again on a fancy magazine cover.” Louis shrugged, setting his half-untouched plate aside.

“Bruce Wayne bought a part of the Daily Planet, he owns 50% of the shares and deals made now, controlling what the public press does for the citizens,” he said, looking back at the screen. “No other news is what I have to write for now.

Jon nodded slowly, before getting up.

— I know you'll find what to write — he left a kiss on the journalist's cheek before leaving and closing the door again.

- I hope...

Louis went back to the 'click' of the keys trying to write a decent news.

— “The Waynes and the Magazines”. What nonsense — the light footsteps coming down the stairs echo through the mansion, while reading the new article from the Gotham Journal of Truth on the ipad. “'Novelty' isn't the word for the Wayne magazine appearances,” don't tell me, “but the reasons are. Or not. Maybe it's just time to research Bruce Wayne's real intentions in wanting to appear in everything that can generate quick and easy publicity.” — she read as soon as she reached the kitchen where all the family members were having lunch. — They published this three minutes ago — he left the device on the table, sitting on the bench next to one of his brothers.
