tw: mention of murder and poorly written gore. also bad portrayal of abuse. i actually like this one alot. i have a better version of it somewhere but i dont know where it went. i was like 13

Walking into the next room, I find my captor's corpse laying on the floor. His eyes had been gouged out. His chest had been sliced open, with his organs strewn about the room. My emaciated friend was sitting next to the corpse. I assume he had done it. He was facing away from me, hunched over with his knees up to his chest. The lights flickered as I stepped closer to him. He slowly turned towards me, his eyes red and his rotting teeth bared. I didn't know what to do. Should I comfort my friend, or start cleaning up his mess?

I hear the broken radio faintly. My friend is sitting infront of the TV, watching his favourite show. Our captor didn't let us watch TV, so it's nice to see my friend be truly happy for a bit. I was done cleaning up the body, I just needed to clean the tools my friend had used and then we could leave. I let my friend watch TV whilst I gathered up all the money I could find. It wasn't much, but it would last my journey back to my family. I just hoped that they would accept my friend into the family too. He wasn't totally perfect, but neither was I.
The cat jumped up onto the counter and meowd at me. She still had a bruise on her back from when our captor hit her with an object. I hope she's ok. I hope she doesn't miss our captor too much aswell. I'm going to leave a window open for her incase she wants to leave too.

my notes- how does a broken radio still work? how do you see a bruise on a cat?? in the better version, they then just sort of wander off into the city and are sort of adopted by a couple. that is so cheap and unrealistic
