(Tamisha)

I woke up the next day and got dressed in an oversized blue hoodie, camouflage jeans, and combat boots. I tried to get pass Goldie but he caught me.

"And where do you think your going?" He asked. "Outside, duh!" I replied. "Your not going anywhere today. I was gonna let you out with a warning if you told me but you didn't. Your grounded and thats it!" Gold shot back. "You know what, fine! If I can't get away then fine, grandpa grumpy!" I yelled and ran back to my room and locked the door.

To my joy, Jacob looked through my window. I unlocked the window and let him in quietly. "Hey Tamisha, why aren't you coming outside?" Jacob asked. "Uncle Goldie caught me. Now I'm grounded for sneaking out." I sobbed. He rubbed my back.

I flinched at his light touch. "Then try again. And this time, out the window like a real person." He climbed out the window and held out his hand. I made sure the door was locked tight and jumped out to his arms.

He caught me with ease as we ran out of sight. "Where are we running to?" I asked. "My place, yours isn't safe." Jacob breathed as we ran.

James-not expecting him

I walked back to me and my sisters room. I tried to open the door but I figured it was locked. I jogged downstairs to see an angry Goldie. I walked quickly and quietly to the kitchen.

I opened the refrigerator door and got a can of sprite. "Want one Uncle Goldie?" I asked.

"Chuck it." He commanded. I did what I was told. I walked along the mercury tiles to the living room. "So, days going good?" I asked.

"Hell no."
"Why?"
"Non of your importance."

That was the most rude conversation with an adult. I ran back up the stairs. I crouched all the way to Goldie's room. Looking on a dirty pile of magazines (if you know what I mean *wink wink* *shove shove*) I found his spell book.

I curiously read a line. "On this very day or this very night, the age of 16 I shall be with all my might." I read as I got taller.

"What did I do?"
