Kyle's P.O.V.
As soon as I was in Walmart, I made my way to the grocery section. My stomach was growling so loudly, I could hear it over everyone talking. Food. Food. Food. I knew that the sooner I found what we needed, the sooner we could go home and eat.
I stumbled past an elderly woman who gave me a dirty look. "Sorry. Excuse me." I said. She rolled her eyes and I kept walking. I said sorry. She didn't need to treat me like a kid. I thought, shaking my head.
I pushed the thought away and found that I had wandered into an aisle. It was a freezer aisle. Pizza, ice cream, and frozen fruit filled the freezers.
Damnit... Wrong aisle. I had done this many times before. Daydreaming and ending up where I didn't mean to go. It was always the same aisle too. Why does my brain always wanna take me here?
I shrugged and walked over to the pizza. Maybe I should just get a pizza and ice cream or something. I opened the freezer and pulled out two pizzas: sausage and cheese. Tyler hated toppings so he only ate cheese. I loved sausage so I got sausage. I didn't know what kind of pizza Lizzy would eat, so I grabbed another cheese pizza.
I turned and walked over to the ice cream section and grabbed vanilla ice cream. Then I turned and left the aisle. As I did, I grabbed a basket to carry everything. When I turned around to go get eggs, I walked right into someone.
I stumbled backwards into the shelves behind me and grunted. I shook my head and looked at who I had walked into. He had dark brown curly hair and dark brown eyes. He also had glasses. He was slightly taller than me as well. I knew exactly who he was. "Hey Adam!"Tyler's P.O.V.
Once I got to the children's clothing section of Walmart, I kneeled down and set Lizzy on the ground. She was half asleep, but she could sit up on her own. "Lizzy, let's get you some clothes!" I said, happily. Lizzy rubbed her eyes and looked around. Then she pulled at the shirt she was wearing: Kyle's Nirvana shirt.
"But Kyle gived me his shirt..." She mumbled. I nodded. "But you can get some pretty clothes now. See?" I gestured around me at all the girl clothes. Lizzy looked around again. Then she stood up. "I wanna dis one." She hobbled around me to a pink shirt with a shih tzu dog on it. It reminded me of my old dog, Harley.
"You want that one?" I asked, smiling. Lizzy nodded and pulled at it. "Pwease?" She asked. I laughed and stood up. "Okay. Let's go try it on."
After maybe twenty minutes, Lizzy and I had picked out five shirts that fit her. Her and I marched back towards the front of the store. I, of course, was carrying all the clothes. As we got back to the main aisle, Lizzy suddenly froze. She was staring across the aisle at a man.
"Lizzy, honey, what's wrong?" I asked, crouching next to her and looking at the man. Lizzy started to cry and turned and hugged me. The man turned around and, I shit you not, his eyes were completely white. Then I blinked and his eyes turned green. He gave me a weird looked and walked away.
What the hell was that all about? The moment the man was out of my site, I focused on Lizzy and tried to calm her down. "Sweetie, its okay. Its okay. Shhhh..." I said, hugging her.
"Mommy, why is she crying?" I heard a little voice ask. I looked up and saw a red haired woman and a little boy with brown hair. I knew them. "Alesa! Little T!"
