Kyle's P.O.V.
Tyler and I watched as the officer took a, now screaming, Lizzy to another room. Darrel gave us a sad look. "Well, guys, thanks for bringing her back." He said. I nodded. Tyler leaned against me. I could tell he wanted to cry.
"We'll just be going then." I said. I pulled on Tyler's arm, but he didn't move. He was staring at the door where Lizzy had gone. "Wh-what are you gonna do with her?" He asked. Darrel sighed.
"Lizzy is going to stay here a few days until we can find her a house to go to. As far as I know, no foster homes have available space right now." He said. Tyler leaned forward with excitement. "We could take her!" He exclaimed. "Well... Until you find her a home, of course."
"Wait, wait, wait. What?" I said. I pulled Tyler aside. "What did I tell you last night? We aren't ready for a kid!" I whispered. Tyler half smiled at me and said, "She won't be our kid. It'll be like babysitting! Except we won't get paid." Tyler explained. "And we'll have experience with kids!" I sighed and rubbed my temples. Then I turned back to Darrel.
"Okay, yeah. If you would like to, you can send her back with us, I guess. And contact us when you've found her a home." I said. Tyler was jumping for joy. Darrel smirked at me.
Then he went through the door to go and get Lizzy. The moment she saw us, she leapt right into Tyler's arms and hugged him. She was still crying a lot. It was very annoying.
"Lizzy, do you wanna come home with us?" Tyler asked her. The little girl nodded and hugged Tyler tighter. Damnit... What have we gotten ourselves into?

Tyler's P.O.V.
As Kyle, Lizzy and I walked back to the house, Kyle wouldn't talk to me. I knew he was upset about my offer to care for Lizzy, but I couldn't let her go like that. The police station is not a place for little kids to stay. Kyle obviously didn't understand that.
I tried to hold his hand but he jerked it away and crossed his arms. I felt a sting in my heart. "Kyle, please talk to me. Say something... Anything!" I said.
"Anything." Kyle said, with a harsh tone. I sighed. "Look." I said. "I know you don't like this idea. But if you were Lizzy, would you want to be in that place? Would you want to sleep there and practically live there?" Kyle turned sharply towards me.
"Well, I wouldn't want to interrupt the lives of two happily gay men." He snapped. I looked away. Kyle took my hand. "I'm sorry..." He apologized. "I just... I don't think this is okay... And we don't know anything about kids!" "Yeah well Jerome and Mitch didn't either, and they have Tori." I said, looking back at him. Kyle sighed.
"Okay. We'll try this. But if it doesn't work out, we are not having kids. Okay?" Kyle said. I shook my head. "If it doesn't work out, I still want kids. At least one." I said. Kyle nodded. "Fine. Just one."
